The MSI Forge GK110 is a fantastic all-around gaming combo that proves you don’t need to break the bank for great performance. Pros and Cons

  • Bright and customizable RGB lighting
Cons:

  • Mouse is basic, no extra programmable buttons

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Surprisingly Quiet, Solid Value Keyboard + Mouse Combo. If you want a quiet keyboard, this one delivers. It’s proudly membrane — you can definitely tell it’s not a mechanical switch board — but in this case, that’s actually a strength. The typing feel is soft, consistent, and pleasantly muted, making it great for shared spaces or late‑night use. For gaming, it holds its own. It’s not as fast as a true switch‑based board, but it’s responsive enough to handle casual and mid‑level gaming without issue. The RGB lighting doesn’t shy away either — it’s bright, bold, and fully committed to the aesthetic.”

Customer Review: “Nice, clean and affordable combo. Great for a quick upgrade/refresh. The font on the keys is a little unique (think “Spider Man” or “PS3″ font) – you can zoom in on the KB before you buy and see if that’s an issue for you. These have good lighting and swift responses, and the keyboard hits a sweet spot between size and functionality. I can no longer go without a volume control knob on my KB, and this one is sweet (scroll for vol up/down, press for mute). Nice value for the money.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “The keyboard and mouse ,really great products ,very quiet, pressing the the keys and controls really felt like I was using a $500 gaming set up , i purchased this gaming pack for my daughter ,and she loved it ,only problem was the first pack I got for her the LED lights were faulty, shutting off ,or only lighting 1/2 the key board ,ordered another and did the same thing”

Customer Review: “Keyboard looks great and works ok for a couple of hours. Then the lights start to flicker and it has to be restarted several times by turning the power on and off. Not sure what to do about that.Edit:Ok, so here is the deal, I finally figured out this thing doesn’t have any indication that it needs charging other than wigging out like I described above. If you plug it up and let it charge a while when you’re using it every few days, (ours gets used a good bit) it works great.”

  • Removable Hand Rest for ergonomic comfort
  • Rainbow Backlit Keyboard with mechanical feel

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Premium aluminum metal panel
  • Water-resistant design
  • Comfortable removable wrist rest
  • Good wireless range and no lag
Cons:
  • Keys may rub off over time
  • Wrist rest only for left hand (gaming side)
  • Lighting is rainbow only, not individually customizable

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Keyboard is definitely a great thing to have if you want something to be truly wireless. I have been wanting a computer that can play decent amount of games and have a decent computer and this definitely takes the gold for a good budget. It provides both a mouse and keyboard for a decent price and it being wireless is a great touch. The keyboard does feel a bit cheap on material but it feels great when typing. One small concern about this product, is that the keys could rub off overtime. Another thing is that the wrist pad is only for the left hand where you use the gaming portion. It will most likely fade in color overtime. It is very responsive and the light is not too bright where you would need to turn the brightness down but you are able to do it with this keyboard if needed. This is not a mechanical keyboard but it works pretty well. You do not get that loud clicking noise but pretty decent response. For this keyboard there is only one color unfortunately at first which is the rainbow color and the same goes for the mouse even though the box shows multiple colors. I am not entirely sure if the keyboard and mouse colors can be adjusted. The keyboard is a bit short around the keys making it easier to clean in my opinion. And the keys are pretty easy to pop off and clean if needed. The mouse feels great and you can adjust the DPI if needed to make it move very smoothly. It moves very smoothly and has a pretty fast response time. You can adjust it to make it less or more sensitive. It has three settings which is nice. The box it arrives in was rather large but protective. The mouse does benefit with a good mouse pad so be aware of that. The response distance for this keyboard and mouse is about ten feet or so before you start to see a lag or drop in signal. The dongle is also not too big where you have to worry about it taking up too much space. Honestly I put mines in the back and never really notice it. It does not really stick out either where you need to worry about it getting dinged. In terms of gaming, I really enjoy using this. I do not have any issues with response and makes my gaming experience great. The small slots are nice to store my phone and pens. The battery on these two can last a good amount of time without needing to be recharged. It uses the basic USB cables to recharge the device. I would recommend charging it before using it. The cables are a decent length so you can easily plug it into your computer and continue to use it if you wish. Overall I think this keyboard is decent for a budget build or even for a back up gaming keyboard. It feels great and not uncomfortable. The lights make for a great show but I do wish it had a bit more programmable keys.”

Customer Review: “Purchase in 2022, it is 2026 item is still working, excellent, plan to buy another for newer system”

The mouse is super comfortable, precise, and lightweight—perfect for long sessions without hand fatigue. The mouse pad is a great size and allows the mouse to glide smoothly.”

Customer Review: “I’ve only clocked a few hours with this set and so far I am pleasantly awed!Keyboard:As one who is generally a “keyboard snob;” I love how smooth the keys are for gaming. It feels different than my preferred typewriter-style boards for work and writing, so it’s refreshing to have an effortless experience for rapid clicks in-game. This keyboard also has a few light color options and my goodness do I LOVE.The overall design is clean, crisp, ergonomic, and pleasing to the eyes. I’m also smitten that the cursor keys’ symbols are rockets, instead of traditional arrows.Mouse:The size is splendid for my hands, responds admirably, and of course I’m a sucker for the multi-color oscillating lights. The one thing that would make this mouse perfect would be back and forth side buttons, but I’m not about to complain.Headset:As long as I remember to take out dangly earrings this headset is comfortable and easy to wear. The mic feels a bit close to the face, but I can be heard clearly in-game, so the design works for its function. I’m impressed by the sound and must have missed the description about ‘deep bass,’ as I was not expecting to hear and feel the drop in my bones!Overall, this [set] exceeded my expectations for the price and recommend for anyone wanting/needing a good accessory-array on a budget.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. This is my first gaming Mech Keyboard from Redragon, and so far this being my first, this is the best gaming keyboard I have ever owned.Weight is great. No lag when I game.It has the perfect quietness level, not completely silent but if you were in a echo chamber you would barely hear it (a slight exaggeration but you get the point) 9/10 for quietness. The buttons are perfect and feel great.Keyboard size is perfect for me because I’m a bigger person, my hands side by side spread out cover 95-100% of a regular sized keyboard so I like wide keyboards I don’t like the small ones.Looks great for my first gaming mech keyboard, I don’t have another gaming keyboard to compare it to that I own.RGB colors and modes are great, you can download the software to control the colors and modes off the retail website “Redragon shop” not Redragon Zone” site. The software for this keyboard won’t show up on the zone site, it is only on the shop site and called something else. The mouse works perfectly, no lag and I love the RGB colors. The RGB colors for mouse match the keyboard.Again my hands are big so a majority of mice feel small in my hands this one included. It isn’t a small mouse by any means but for me it could be bigger, which would make it more comfortable.Overall the is a Perfect buy for the price a 10/10. You will not be disappointed.”

Customer Review: “Keyboard quality is pretty good. It is a membrane and not mechanical. Design is fine. Keys are responsive. Mouse is reactive and smooth. Though the software for both of them is clunky and a bit pointless.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Love This Keyboard and Mouse. Can see what I’m typing now!”

Customer Review: “Arrived on time and as advertised. I got this for gaming and general ease of use for my laptop. The mouse is great and the dpi functionality is amazing. The only issue is the button to switch the dpi settings is on the bottom. The mouse has preset colors and isn’t completely customizable. The keyboard is loud but advertised as silent. I love the layout and the media controls are a huge bonus. The keys have a bit of a long stroke to them. This adds to the reaction time while gaming. It’s a great keyboard for general use but I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming. I was under the impression the letters in the keys would be illuminated. They are not. It’s just the space between the keys. The keyboard also doesn’t offer custom illumation so you can set which keys are illuminated or which color. They’re just lit based on several different presets. I don’t use the keyboard often as I bought it for the quiet operation and to see the letters and numbers in the dark.”

Customer Review: “very nice works perfectly and looks amazing. love the clicking sound and you can change the colors too.”

Customer Review: “I will preface this with I don’t use the mouse, as I have a 12 side button mmo mouse, so I cannot speak on that. That said, here’s my review on the keyboard:For the 2nd time in as many years, a child of mine (different child each time) had knocked a glass of iced tea on my keyboard and ruined it! I need a new one, fast. I love this keyboard, have been using one since April 2023. The first replacement was in September of that same year, and now June of 2025. My set up is white. So I needed a white one. Could not find the white one! But I did find a black one. ALMOST ordered it, then realized it would have taken like 3-4 weeks to be delivered, so I had to go hunt for something else. Had a few prospects, and stumbled on this set that had overnight delivery. I wasn’t sure if it was exactly the one I was looking for or not, but I did know it was the same company, so decided to give it a try. Next day, it comes early morning, and I immediately unpack it. Lo & behold, it is the same keyboard I’ve been using for years! Yay! I absolutely love the feel of they keys, they’re pretty quiet, they make very minimal noise, unless you’re thumping your keys super hard (like my husband does on his computer, but let’s not talk about that lol) As with the previous 2 keyboards, the space bar is still a little clunky & louder than the keys, but does seem to be a little less so than my previous ones. Number pad is perfect. Functionalilty is easy, and ovbious what each key function does. The lights are perfect. Plug & play, no problems. I hope MageGee never stops making this keyboard.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Gaming Mouse And Keyboard

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing the best gaming mouse and keyboard, start with your primary use. For competitive shooters, a lightweight mouse with a high DPI sensor (at least 1600, ideally 8000+) and a keyboard with low-latency switches are crucial. For MMOs, look for mice with many side buttons and keyboards with macro support. Wireless vs. wired depends on your tolerance for latency—modern wireless (2.4GHz or Bluetooth 5.0+) is excellent, but wired is still zero-latency. Key rollover (anti-ghosting) is vital; aim for at least 6-key, but 26-key or n-key is best for complex key combos. Build quality, ergonomics, and software support also matter for long-term satisfaction.

Budget Planning

You can get a capable gaming combo for under $50 (like the RedThunder K10 Wired). Mid-range ($50-$100) offers better materials, wireless options, and higher DPI mice (Redragon S101M-KS, RedThunder K10 Wireless). Premium ($100+) gets you top-tier sensors (Razer 26K DPI), advanced customization, and premium builds. Set a budget based on your commitment: casual gamers can save, while competitive players should invest more. Always compare price-to-feature ratios—sometimes a $70 combo outperforms a $120 one.

Final Thoughts

The best gaming mouse and keyboard combo isn’t about the highest specs; it’s about what fits your hands, games, and budget. Prioritize the features you’ll actually use—like a volume wheel, wireless freedom, or macro keys. Don’t overlook comfort; an uncomfortable mouse or keyboard will hurt your performance and enjoyment. Read reviews from verified buyers (like those we included) to catch real-world issues. And remember, a great combo enhances your gameplay without getting in the way. Whether you choose our top pick MSI Forge GK110 for overall value, the Redragon S101M-KS for wireless versatility, or the Razer Basilisk V3 for competitive edge, you’re making a solid choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should I buy a gaming mouse and keyboard combo or separately?

A: Combos are great for beginners, budget buyers, or anyone wanting a matched aesthetic. They often offer better value. However, buying separately lets you mix-and-match to perfectly suit your hand size, grip style, and switch preferences. If you have specific needs (e.g., a very lightweight mouse for FPS), separate purchases are better. For most gamers, a high-quality combo like our top picks is sufficient.

Q: Is a mechanical keyboard necessary for gaming?

A: Not necessarily. Mechanical keyboards offer tactile feedback and durability, which many gamers prefer. However, good membrane keyboards (like the MSI Forge GK110) can be perfectly responsive for casual and mid-level gaming. If you’re competitive, mechanical switches (especially linear reds) may give a slight edge in actuation speed. But comfort and personal preference matter most—try both if possible.

Q: How important is DPI in a gaming mouse?

Q: Are wireless gaming mice as good as wired?

A: Modern wireless mice (using 2.4GHz or Bluetooth 5.0) have advanced to the point where latency is negligible for almost all gamers. Top brands like Logitech and Razer offer wireless versions nearly identical to wired. However, wired is still 100% guaranteed zero-latency and never needs charging. For casual and even competitive play, wireless is fine. If you’re in a tournament with strict rules, wired might be required. Battery life is also a consideration—look for long-lasting or rechargeable options.

Q: What is anti-ghosting and why do I need it?

A: Anti-ghosting (or key rollover) ensures that when you press multiple keys simultaneously, the computer registers all of them. This is critical in games where you might press Move + Jump + Crouch + Use at once. Basic keyboards often have 2-key or 6-key rollover, causing “ghosting” where some keys don’t register. For gaming, aim for at least 26-key anti-ghosting or n-key rollover (registers all keys). All our top picks include at least 26-key anti-ghosting.

Finding the best gaming mouse and keyboard combo doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Based on our testing, the MSI Forge GK110 is the top all-around pick for its quiet keys, solid mouse, and excellent value. If you want wireless freedom, the Redragon S101M-KS offers incredible versatility. And for budget shoppers, the RedThunder K10 Wired packs in features usually found in pricier sets.
