Customer Review: Pretty much a jack-of-all-trades in terms of performance, quality, etc.Does everything pretty well and has a lot of nice features like 7.1 surround and 50mm audio drivers. It comes with a carrying bag and a set of fabric ear pads in case you don’t like the leather ones (the leather ones are better IMO)The mic sounds decent, nothing to rave over but its better than most for the price.Audio quality is great, not a whole lot of bass but that’s by design. Fairly good in games like Rainbow Six Siege where listening to sounds is crucial.The one thing that could use work is the software support. Its ok, but the biggest offender is the surround sound toggles within the Logitech software. Most of the time when enabled the audio will sound tinny and distant (like hearing through a wall) basically very flat audio. Its pretty much unusable for me for 99% of applications. I have no idea if its a software issue, firmware issue, or just user error but nevertheless its something to keep in mind.Comfort wise its very comfortable even during long sessions. Its well padded in all respects.Overall, It’s a great headset with a few quirks but nothing crazy. Customer Review: I don’t write many reviews anymore, and I wanted to find out myself why there were so many mixed or bad reviews. I’ve been a long time Arctis 7 user, and also came from many other headsets such as Razer BlackShark V2 Pro; including audiophile sets such as Sennheiser 598SR, Philips SHP 9500/Fidelio X2, etc. My wife got me a GPW for my bday a while back, which I’m in love with– normally I bash Logitech products/service, though I came from previous Logitech products and still use a MX Master 3 etc.Anyway, back on topic… I bought these because 1) Wireless is too clean and convenient to pass up, which is why I’ve been using my fine-tuned Arctis 7 with SS Engine EQ (even used Peace/Equalizer APO at one point). 2) I don’t like too many software suites, and wanted to stay within the GHub (haven’t had any issues). 3) I paid attention to the positive reviews for this and was super intrigued, plus I had an Amazon gift card to use, hehe.What I read about hissing and interference, and most of these bad reviews– I work in IT, and there’s a high probability of it being mostly user error. Keep in mind, this is on PC– I don’t know if there are more issues on console, etc. but pretty sure these were made for PC first. The surround sound is definitely worse than the Arctis 7, as it is very muddy. I do enjoy the auto-switching of sound profiles similar to SS Engine’s. For general use for the most part, I recommend turning off surround sound, and just running the natural “Flat” EQ– I prefer this genuine stereo sound, but feel free to mess around with other EQs. For the mic portion, I did notice slightly more static at higher gains– most mics are like this without a good DAC or sound card. I don’t use a DAC anymore, nor do I have an external sound card– I found that the “Broadcaster” and “FM Station” EQs for the mic were best; didn’t need to tweak any other settings. When I did, there was slightly more noticeable noise, but not terrible. The mic beats the Arctis 7 straight up… it’s not as terrible as what others have reported, or from some of the YouTube videos I’ve seen. Again, user error, I don’t know what extra tweaks they’re doing under Advanced settings, but using either Broadcaster or FM Station with Blue Voice enabled sounds great to me at around 88-90 gain. YMMW, and keep in mind other factors such as wireless interference, RGB lighting, etc. can all cause static, so keep that in mind and keep the dongle away from any devices that are prone to interfere; use an extension cable if you need to isolate the dongle.I mainly play FPS shooters like CS:GO, Apex Legends, and listen to a lot of music, but these are primarily for gaming. I really have no complaints, except that I wish the mic was retractable. I like my headphones more open for that nicer soundstage, so I run the fabric ear cushions as opposed to leather. I’m glad they included this because with the two pairs of Arctis 7s that I had, I purchased separate cushions for them ($25+/pair). I never used the Arctis 7 wired, so I didn’t care that the Logi’s can only run wireless. The battery life is also superior to the Arctis 7, by far; GHub also works a hell of a lot better than SS Engine, surprisingly. Again, I moved away from Logi minus their office line, and was hoping to be let down by these… but they have not disappointed. I can’t find a reason to deduct a star, and I don’t understand what these people are complaining about regarding the low volume… I’m guessing maybe they’re console, or not checking everything correctly/not using GHub properly. The volume knob has no stopping point like the Arctis 7, but the overlay is great and the dial feels good with some resistance. And who uses chat mix anyway? It’s trash and not necessary. With the Arctis 7, I also had to use VoiceMeeter Banana. Though I kinda like the SteelSeries input/output dongle/receiver, I rather have less cables; also rather not have to run VoiceMeeter Banana just to improve mic quality etc. which sometimes also caused static. The sound is just really balanced on these on all counts, and the mic is crisp and clear (a lot of the EQ profiles for the mic are meh; just use the ones I mentioned above). Also, try to keep input volume around 55-70, and boost with limiter or compression. Otherwise, if input volume (gain) too high, it’ll pick up extra background/noises.Anyway, thanks for the read, and hope this helps you guys and gals (and clears up some of the indecisiveness from the mixed reviews!). Customer Review: Comfort:These are nearly as comfortable as my daily Asto a40s. The Pro X2s come with two different types of ear cups; the default leather-ish cups and the breathable cloth cups. I use the cloth cups in an attempt to emulate the supreme comfort of the a40s, and I would say it’s close. Their light weight and swivel design definitely contribute to their comfort. I can wear these for 4+ hours and not feel fatigue or sweatiness.Bluetooth:I didn’t expect this functionality be so useful. With the press of the Bluetooth button, it will exit/enter Bluetooth mode, allowing you to switch between the 2.4GHz dongle connection and the Bluetooth connection within seconds. I found this useful when I’m on a discord call on my PC, and I get a phone call. I quickly mute myself on discord and then press the Bluetooth button, allowing me to use the headset to take the phone call. It’s a useful feature in general if I want to switch from my PC to my phone to continue a YouTube video or just listen to music on one or the other.Battery Life:I purchased this 8 days ago. It had around 70-80% battery left. I’ve used it every day (easily over 10 hours in total) and it’s at 50%. A good 4 hours of this usage was using the mic. I find this battery life to be insanely great. I have no anxiety of these things running out of battery mid-session. It’s exceptional.Sound Quality:As a preface, I’m accustomed to the sound quality of the Sony WH-1000XM5s ($400) and the Airpod Pros Gen 2 ($250). Both of these devices sound incredibly good, but they’re significantly more expensive (the Airpod Pros being priced similarly, but only being earbuds instead of over-the-ear). The Logitech G Pro X 2s do not sound as good as those mentioned, but they still sound good and clear. I will say, I reach for these as general use headphones (even for music), because of their comfort and long battery life. They’re more than good enough to use as regular headphones for me, and clearly I’m willing to use them over better sounding options.Mic Quality:The mic sounds fine, but isn’t as good as it should be for the price of this headset. I purchased it for $189.99, and I still think the mic should be better for that price. At MSRP of $250, it’s verging on unacceptable to me. It’s not a bad mic to be clear. My friends can understand me clearly, but they did say it sounds worse than my Astro a40s, which are $130 (albeit wired). I think the mic is fine, and I don’t think it should be a deal breaker unless you want to record your voice for something, but you should probably have a dedicated mic for that anyways.Conclusion:Writing this review has made it even more clear to me that I really like this headset. It’s combination of comfort, battery life and Bluetooth is amazing. I think it’s a great all-rounder wireless headset if you want something for PC gaming/chat, but also just a Bluetooth headset for your phone.

Customer Review: I wanted a headphone/mic set that would allow me to take advantage of speech to text functions, dictation to AI and maybe even some gaming or music listening on the computer. These seem to check off all those requirements. First, these are very comfortable to wear. The ‘cloud’ name is appropriate for the ear and headband pads. They are adjustable for ear positions and the detachable & adjustable mic works well. The noise cancellation worked well enough for me as I don’t hear any outside noise. I like the option for connecting as they have 3.5mm jack, USB and USB-C cables/adapter. With the USB cable adapter, it is more than long enough to reach my computer. The headphone sound was really quite good especially for this price point. The mic picks up sound well enough though comes though a little on the quiet side. Connecting was easy as windows picked it up immediately when plugged in and made it the default. I’m quite happy with these and the price was a good value.

Customer Review: This is hands down the best wireless headset I’ve tried so far. There’s practically zero noticable latency and the sound quality is great, not to mention the mic quality is amazing. I love that it has on-board audio and voice backend controls and a mic mute button on the back. The battery lasts a very long time (but I still instinctuay plug it in when I’m not using it). And I love that you can seamlessly swap between the dongle and bluetooth, so I could swap between my PC and my phone if I so desired. They’re also really comfortable on my big head, one of the most comfy headsets I’ve owned even. They aren’t even heavy either. I’ve only had it for a few weeks now and I already love it.My one and only complaint is that the mic is removable instead of being attached and having a twist-up feature to hide it from view like some headsets do, and I am scared of removing it from the jack because I don’t want to wear down the connection over time. Customer Review: Fantastic, the way the ears extend is clunky, but also super comfy and takes the stress out of the angle, reducing pressure compared to regular gaming headsets I have used. Spacial awareness by 3d sound works well in Fortnite and Borderlands 4. Mic noise cancelation and focus are amazing compared to my last headset of another brand. Also, the wireless signal from the dangle when inserted into the front port of my PS5, not hidden behind the TV, carries clear audio across the house, wheres prior headset plugged into the controller, audio would break. I was concerned I would have the poor experience shared by many of another brand that underperformed, but this came highly recommended by people I trust who game hard. Money well spent, sits well with glasses, after hours no idea it’s there. Local voice level (hear yourself) being on the right ear can is odd, but once known is cool. Mute is hard to find at first, but once you know, you know. Super nice charge cable and port extender cables, antigrip, and flatter. Very smooth use and design, took a second to adjust to the mic position, but works well for me now. Can also be used plugged in, not just wireless! My PS5 detected it when connected and on from charging. Dig it.

Customer Review: Short of plugging these into a HyperX Quadcast mic, I doubt you’ll find a much better setup for gaming….especially at this price point. The sound quality is amazing for headphones in any context and the earcups are very very comfy. The built-in mic sounds very good for a headset mic, but I digress…I started off with the Cloud I’s first and absolutely loved them, but the volume pot started getting scratchy and I worried about damage to the attached cable becoming an issue. So I figured I’d stick with HyperX and give these Cloud Alpha’s a try, since the cable does detach. I love the Cloud I’s, so I’ll just stick to comparing the two of those as they are both phenomenal headsets and would both be a good buy.-Build and Comfort-HyperX is just KILLING it on the comfort front IMO. The earcups are basically like tempurpedic memory foam and are a joy to wear. Where the Alpha differs from the Cloud I’s is how they feel out of the box. The Alphas still super comfy, but firmer than the Cloud I’s. After some wear-in, they soften up, but I can imagine the Alphas lasting longer because of this. Still comfy, just not quite as squishy. Some people may prefer a firmer feel, YMMV.Both headphones feel very solid and have a good weight to them. Could use some more padding in the headband, but I don’t really feel much discomfort after wearing them. This is about the only comfort area I could see them needing improvement on. Not sure if it really amounts to build quality, but the previously mentioned attached cable on the Cloud I’s has become an issue for me (the volume pot is really scratchy), but the Alphas have a removable cord and the volume pot feels much more sturdy as well.-Sound Quality-Holy crap, I have literally returned $500 Shure headphones in favor of these. And to all assuming I have unrefined, plebian ears…16 years as a guitarist/bassist, audio engineering work for 6 of those years, running PA boards at a few venues, and a gig as a backing bassist for a solo artist (using in-ears) would put me a cut above the typical dude listening to Spotify on his iPhone. I know a good pair when I hear it.Now the Shures were not flat response for mixing or monitoring, they were listening headphones, but while there is a slight EQ curve and some “signature” enhancements on the Alphas, they are surprisingly flat in a good way…albeit with some extended bass and very smooth highs. The difference is the Cloud I’s seemed to have more bass due to an EQ bump in the low-end response along with the seal being tighter on your ears with their squishier earcups. The Alphas are firmer and so the seal isn’t quite as tight on my head, making for less perceived bass at first, but if you squish them on your ears you catch a bit more of the low-end.I will also say the low-end on the Alphas is much cleaner than on the Cloud I’s, which may not be caught by some listeners. When you hear explosions, rumbling, or are listening to bassy music you won’t hear these buzzing or bottoming out like the Cloud I’s can. I use an external Sound Blaster card with one of my PCs and my custom EQ curve for music listening is handled beautifully by these Alphas. This by no means is an insult to the Cloud I’s, they are easily contenders with most $100-$250 listening headsets out there, but in comparison to the Alphas, these are the differences you’ll experience.-Noise Isolation-The Alphas are, again, not as tight a seal as the Cloud I’s but that could change in time. FWIW, these cut out a noticeable amount of noise…with only really rumbly or booming sounds getting through. A neighbor firing up a giant truck or thunder outside will catch my attention, but high pitched sounds get drowned out when you are listening to music or playing a game. I’m sure with wear they’ll get even better, but for a passive headset they do a fine job.-Mic Quality-The mic is perfectly fine and right in line with most $100+ gaming headset mics. Don’t expect something on-par with a dedicated mic like the HyperX Quadcast or a Razer Siren, this is a totally different league of mic, but does a respectable job. Most people use these for Discord or Zoom calls, or want to cut down on background noise as opposed to using an external mic.-Connectors-The core cable has the headphone/mic conductors built into one 3.5mm plug, the same as old iPhone headsets and many other gaming headsets do. There is an extender cable that splits it out to a headphone and mic plug separately. One thing I found weird, is my Cloud I’s were the same, but when I plugged the single 3.5mm combo jack into my HyperX Quadcast they flat out would not work. HOWEVER, the Alphas DO work for some reason. Not sure why, seems like basically the same cable. Either way, the cable is long enough for most folks’ rigs so no worries on that.-Overall-If you want a gaming headset, or even just a headset for listening to music at your computer comfortably, this is an amazing headset. If you’re fine with over-ear headphones for listening on the go, there’s no reason not to use these IMO. If you’re a streamer and want to save money and still get great performance…BUY THESE!!Some people might scoff at these and not consider them good since they aren’t “Pro Level” gear, but honestly for monitoring and even music listening I would put these up against nearly any sub-$600 headset. I don’t abuse the hell out of my headphones, but they definitely get put to use for hours on end every day and I’ve still had no issues. The Cloud I’s (non-USB) are great too, but for a bit more the Alphas are just plain amazing. The only thing you need to worry about these is if they discontinue them!

Customer Review: I bought this to replace my broken original in September of 2025. I destroyed the controller they give you, but the headphones are fine. These do the job just fine. I compared the sound quality of my old headphones and these ones and I cannot tell the difference, granted I cannot test the old controller anymore.You see I originally ordered this in July of 2019. That model, made under the old company, held up just fine. It was my favorite and had an amazing sound to it, especially when you activated its surround sound mode. Since the company was bought by HP I was skeptical about what I’d get this time.The new model is made with less materials, feels lighter, and doesn’t extend as far as the old one. It still fits me fine though. I am someone with a big head and so that was a big reason I loved the HyperX Cloud II’s design. The mic is still very low, like the original manufacturer’s. I recommend using a program like Voicemeter to boost your gain on it. When you do that it works perfectly.In the end it feels like the same exact headphones. So if you are an owner of the old model that is near the end of its life and want another, then this is a safe purchase. I am happy with this and hope it will last me another 6 years or more. It’s a great sound, a great value, and pretty long lasting.

Customer Review: This headset is pretty great, I have just finished testing it on a PS4, XB1, and a desktop pc. Here is what I can tell you about my experience. First, the packaging is superb and upon opening this headset, it simply oozes with quality. As others have stated, the build quality is fantastic and there are plenty of extras to make this a very high value purchase for the price. The second big thing is the sheer comfort of this headset. I am wearing it now because it is so comfortable. Kingston also gives you the choice of leatherette or a plush type padding to switch out with. Now for the third big important portion for most, how the headset sounds. Before I write that up, I want to clarify that I have a Microsoft Stereo headset, Turtle Beach PX4’s (with optical pass-through), Sony Gold wireless headset, and a pair of Turtle Beach x12’s with as DSS optical connection.I first tested this on my PS4 and this works with the usb connection to the console or the direct small plug into the controller. Both connections performed the same because the 7.1 DAC will not work on the PS4, but do not let that deter you from using this headset on your console of choice. The Cloud II is simply better than anything Sony or Microsoft branded not to mention any of the Turtle Beach headsets I own. The Cloud headset sounded really good on the PS4 with great mid and good bass, but the bass in my opinion is a tad bit low. To get the most out of the headset I went into settings/devices and manually adjusted the volume. For the Xbox One, I simply fired up Forza Horizon 2 and used the headset adapter. The sound is much cleaner than the Microsoft Stereo Headset and I can hear more detail than with previous headsets. As for the pc, the sound is great as well. I went into a session of Neverwinter because I enjoy the music and I created a character to test the 7.1 DAC which worked really well, but I could live without the DAC and go with my Asus Xonar instead.Overall, you are not going to find a better value with this versatility. I am a little disappointed that Microsoft does not allow a USB headset connection, but I look forward to testing the party chat with the microphone. I have not gotten a chance to test that portion yet. Of all my owned headsets, the only one that is close is the Sony Gold and the Cloud II in my opinion is much better. This has to be one of the best gaming headsets of 2015. Sound is subjective to each person, so for my needs and versatility it was a must buy as I plan on gaming on all three platforms this year. I also noticed a one star rating complaining about this headset not working as a wireless headset. It goes without saying that this is a wired headset, so please disregard one star reviews about this great headset. I hope you enjoy this product as much as I am! I have used the DAC (wired usb soundcard) with the Elder Scrolls Online and Neverwinter on PC with good results. The simulated sound is more than adequate to bypass some onboard sound solutions. I play mmorpg’s a lot on pc, so that is where I am leveraging my experience. I have not incurred any hissing or popping that has been reported. I run Windows 7(x64) and I do not run Win 8 at this time. I connected this DAC to the PS4 and I also used the small plug into the controller and I did not hear any pops or hissing sounds either way. My negative is again, with Microsoft because this headset performs poorly with the headset adapter, as does most third party headsets with the XB1 console. Again, I stand by my review with this being a must buy for versatility on multiple platforms. If your only buying point is for a console, then I would look carefully as this DAC (7.1 usb soundcard) cannot be used on both the XB1 and PS4. My use is all three platforms(XB1, PS4, and PC) and so far I love this as my main headset for all three. Unless your going to spend 200+ you can forget about getting a headset with this quality. I just gamed a 12 hour session on ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) and the comfort is top notch.

Customer Review: My son loved it, he uses them in his play 5 and xbox, it is perfect for several games, it can capture sounds with great sensitivity and eliminate noise, it has very comfortable pads and high-strength braided USB cable, they are of very good quality.

Customer Review: Really nice headphones blocked out all the noise around you which I love. You do have to plug in the USB in order for the light to work which if you’re playing with your PlayStation and plugged into the controller obviously that’s not doable. So I kind of wish it would still light up just for the fun of it. But if you’re plugged into the computer using the USB it’ll be lighten up and it’s pretty over all those sound quality and overall quality great!
