Customer Review: So to be clear: I bought the renewed/used like new version of this MoBo, and this is my experience. I’ve been using this motherboard for a few days now on a brand new build, and everything is working smoothly and without issue. I was able to boot into Bios easily and make all the necessary adjustments with no major issues. The Bios that it came with is from October so about 8-9 months old, but it still worked right off the bat with my Ryzen 5 9600x, which was my major question. I didn’t want to have to do a Flashback immediately before getting things up and running. When I got the package, everything looked as it would have if it were new, except that the anti-static bag the Mobo came in was taped closed, not necessarily factory sealed, but that’s sort of irrelevant. I *believe* that it came with all of the extras/accessories/cables but honestly if it did, I would have liked more. There weren’t any extra screws, other than the M.2 clip-screw replacements, and there weren’t any extra cables, which would have been nice. The manual was there and looked new, and is not a bad manual when it comes to explaining all aspects of the function of the motherboard and features. Speaking of which, the rear ports are a great selection on this mobo, plenty of ports, everything working as they should, and the quality of the board seems great. Another reason I bought this motherboard was the SupremeFX audio codec on board, which as far as mid-tier motherboards go, seems to be a pretty good on-board audio setup. So far, with testing on intricate songs like Steely Dan’s Aja and Daft Punk’s Touch, the sound is amazing, very clear, multi-layered, and no static-y edge that I was getting in the past.Overall, I think this board is a steal at $160 in 2025, and I am happy to report no issues with a “used” or “renewed” motherboard.I will update this review if there are any major failures or issues.

The its a pretty bare bones, no thrills kinda motherboard but what you do get is pretty nice, lots of PCIe5 lanes, nice build quality, and pretty good heatsinks. The bios update/rollback feature worked well for me, I was able to update the bios with a jump drive without even booting it up, so that was nice. The amount of USB connections was adequate and M.2 was great, but I would’ve still preferred more sata connections, it only sports two. I have an optical drive, front panel, and a big magnetic drive I wish I could rope into the system, but regardless, this is definitely a forward leaning motherboard.

The its a pretty bare bones, no thrills kinda motherboard but what you do get is pretty nice, lots of PCIe5 lanes, nice build quality, and pretty good heatsinks. The bios update/rollback feature worked well for me, I was able to update the bios with a jump drive without even booting it up, so that was nice. The amount of USB connections was adequate and M.2 was great, but I would’ve still preferred more sata connections, it only sports two. I have an optical drive, front panel, and a big magnetic drive I wish I could rope into the system, but regardless, this is definitely a forward leaning motherboard.

I mainly use ASUS, however since their recent problems, & my X670E Hero board having issues from day one, I tried ASRock, the board worked for a bit, then it started having issues, so I gave Gigabyte a chance, even though there has been security issues in the past. I was pleasantly surprised & the board has had no issues from day one, I updated the bios & all has been well. I will say that I still like ASUS bios setup better, it is easier to navigate the menus & you can use a large size thumb drive to run bios updates on. This Gigabyte board is like the ASRock as in you must use a very small size thumb drive to load bios updates from. Other than that small complaint, the board has been solid, I made sure to turn off the on board software update for their software & I also turned off the RGB, due to I do no trust their proprietary software, the last time I used it; it was horrible & I will just use other software to run the RGB, that isn’t buggy. Another reason for me to want this board is that it has additional PCIe slots, I use an addon sound card, so this board accommodates that. I have had no memory issues, system boots fast runs cool, I would highly suggest anyone wanting to build on the AM5 platform to get this board. Aorus Master.I have the ROG Strix X870E-E, Had and returned the MSI X870E Carbon wifi and finally I bought this Aorus Master X870E.The Strix is good, the MSI is trash, and this Aorus is fantastic. It includes all kinds of sensors, stability is rock solid and memory frequency is optimal. The Strix only manages to reach 5600MT/s with all Dimms populated. The MSI didn’t post at any frequency even at 3600 with 4 Dimms.This Gigabyte Master works at 6000MT/s without any issue (you must configure the impedances on all boards to support 4 Dimms).The board is stable, the network is solid and the build construction is best in class.Only issue I have is with the context restore config on Bios that keeps getting auto-disabled when EXPO is enabled. That makes the boot times longer than expected at about 3 minutes with a 128 GB of RAM.Using the board with a 9950X as reference. Love the fan controls.If you insist on having MAX performance set a max thermal limit. I game and most games I cap the FPS so having your PC Turbo itself to death, crash and burn, I prefer the stability.This is the best built Motherboard I have ever used. HEAVY. Lots of USB ports, lots of expansion headers and the heatsinks on the control chips are great. I only have a couple of obstacles that had to be overcome using this board. First, there is no speaker or speaker connector on this board. Second, the space between the memory and the CPU is a little tight so be aware of that when you are selecting a CPU cooler. Your CPU cooling fan may end up sitting on top of your memory if your memory has ARGB on it – easy enough to overcome but it slowed an otherwise lightning build down for a while. Lots of support, 3 NvMe slots for solid state storage. This is a lot of bang for the buck. And performance speed? FAST. A great choice for gaming or power computing.

Customer Review: This is a fantastic motherboard! An LGA1851 board with SEVEN M.2 drive slots, with THREE of them being PCIe 5.0 for under $400? Tremendous value from a brand that has never failed me before, ASUS.My primary need for my new LGA1851 board was the number of M.2 slots and this one did not disappoint. It has the most ports, and the most 5.0 ports that I could find under $500. Most only had 4 ports total with only one or two 5.0 ports. This board’s PCIe 5.0 performance is outstanding when you are running a proper compatible 5.0 M.2 drive, like from Samsung, as long as it is properly cooled. The drive cooling is a challenge on this board and I found the built-in heatsinks to be inadequate to cool that many M.2 drives, especially the 5.0 speed drives that get over 10,000MB/s read/write when they are kept cool.My solution was to use third party heatsinks with fans on them for my hottest M.2 drives, including the two 5.0 drives I have. I use both Thermalright HR10 2280 PRO Black SSD Coolers and EZDIY-FAB Shield M.2 SSD Heatsinks with Build-in 20mm PWM Fan on my drives. Both do a great job of lowering the temps on the drives enough for them not to throttle speeds down due to heat. My drives rarely get over 50C under typical stress loads on the drives with these coolers. But with seven M.2 slots, this motherboard doesn’t have a lot of room to spare, and you’ll find that it is impossible to use third-party heatsinks on ALL seven of the M.2 drives because they are just too close together. So be strategic about which drives to use them on: the ones that will get the hottest (usually the fastest) and the most usage.Other than the plethora of M.2 drive ports on this motherboard. there is also a huge amount of USB and Thunderbolt 4 ports… another huge plus for me considering how many USB accessories I have, including two portable monitors attached to Thunderbolt 4 hubs that supplement my four full-sized monitors plugged into my Nvidia 3060ti video card. With this motherboard, everything just works, fast and beautifully. Just make sure your RAM and CPU are compatible.I highly suggest going to the ASUS website in advance and downloading the latest BIOS onto a USB drive and installing that BIOS first before you set up Windows. Also, make sure you download all of the drivers onto your Windows boot USB drive. When I was building my PC and installing Windows 11, it did not find the Wi-Fi drivers on its own and I had to point to the files I downloaded from ASUS on the USB drive.
