Regardless of knowing there’s 8leds in each fan, and 16leds together; even knowing the header you plugged it in.you can not control them individually While being daisy-chained even though with the 3pin ARGB connection (data,P+,G-) you would think you could but you cannot, daisy chain the fans pwm connection and hook up the rgb separately if you want individual control of each fan because even with softwares that can identify and separate leds (even in the same argb header (w/spittler)) cannot be controlled or identify the fans individually without color leakage if the ARGB connection are daisy-chained.

Customer Review: I purchased the Hyper 212 Black edition because the standard Evo clashed with the darker theme of my case. For starters, shipping was quick. I was home so I was able to receive my stuff as soon as the delivery person dropped it off.I ordered this particular cooler because I kept seeing great reviews about it. I was running the Corsair H60 sealed water cooling system but it was a few years old and I started to get a bit concerned with it leaking on my 1080ti and giving me a very expensive paperweight. I’ve included photos of how it looks, and my CPU temp during a game of Rocket League at 4K resolution. It was even if not better than my water cooler.Installation was pretty cut and dry, my system uses an AM3+ socket and I had no issues mounting the radiator stack. The only problem I had was my screw driver wasn’t the right kind to reach the screws so it took longer than it should have to get them threaded in. Mounting the fan was a bit of a pain but had I removed my upper exhaust fan it would have been much easier. I ended up removing it to connect the fan to my CPU fan header later on.As far as system specs,AMD FX-8350 processorASRock 980de3 motherboard16GB DDR3 ram, Hyper X Fury(I had no issues with clearance involving the ram)MSI Armor GeForce 1080ti video cardAll crammed into the very poorly designed Gamdias Talos M1 RGB case. Also, because of the cutout on the motherboard mounting surface, I didn’t have to remove the motherboard to put the X bracket on the back.Overall, I definitely recommend this cooler if you want a budget air cooler and you can support the size of radiator.

The installation process is a bit unorthodox as rather than using a typical backplate and tightening from the front, it has screws that go from the front through to the back and are secured with Phillips thumb nuts. If your hoping to manage an easy swap with an already installed board, I’m afraid no luck. While unorthodox, the installation was rather painless. The ARGB cable was easily long enough to be managed in the back of the case and reach the bottom of the motherboard. Most importantly, the temps were very good. While idle, the CPU was within the range of 30-35C. During 5 minute long stress test, the CPU settled around 65-70C while peaking only a handful of times at 72C. This was much better performance than I expected. My only nitpick is that on the white model the seemingly “silver” stripe is only glossy white. It’s still quite the attractive and effective air cooler for a decent price.

I ran a card along the inside to disengage the plastic lips on all four sides, removed 4 screws to pull off the LED strip, and then replaced the fan. It was pretty difficult, and I was worried it was going to break, but it was surprisingly sturdy while being abused, haha.Temps wise, it performed flawlessly. In a 16L Jonsbo TK-0, this cooler kept my Ryzen 7 5700X under 75°C while running at 100% load (stress tested for 5 minutes) even in ASRock’s “Silent” mode.I was pleasantly surprised that such a unique design performed this well.

However, the stock cooler was getting a little noisy at times, so it was time for a replacement. Enter the Thermalright Assassin X120 Refined SE.Installation was fairly straightforward, though he had to pull out the motherboard to attach the backplate. From then on it was plain sailing.Testing showed that the CPU temperature is 10-15°C cooler at rest and 20-25°C cooler under load than the stock cooler, which he is holding in his right paw. Moreover, fan noise is barely noticeable – hardly surprising, since the fan is huge and runs far more slowly than its predecessor to cool that monster heatsink. My temps are much more regulated, the fan is surprisingly quiet (BeQuiet! is still quieter). Looks great, actually matches my stock case fans almost perfectly. Very easy to install, just torque down the bolts in a cross pattern. Overall, fit and quality is great. Love this thing.
