I was home so I was able to receive my stuff as soon as the delivery person dropped it off.I ordered this particular cooler because I kept seeing great reviews about it. I was running the Corsair H60 sealed water cooling system but it was a few years old and I started to get a bit concerned with it leaking on my 1080ti and giving me a very expensive paperweight. I’ve included photos of how it looks, and my CPU temp during a game of Rocket League at 4K resolution. It was even if not better than my water cooler.Installation was pretty cut and dry, my system uses an AM3+ socket and I had no issues mounting the radiator stack. The only problem I had was my screw driver wasn’t the right kind to reach the screws so it took longer than it should have to get them threaded in. Mounting the fan was a bit of a pain but had I removed my upper exhaust fan it would have been much easier. The installation process is a bit unorthodox as rather than using a typical backplate and tightening from the front, it has screws that go from the front through to the back and are secured with Phillips thumb nuts. If your hoping to manage an easy swap with an already installed board, I’m afraid no luck. While unorthodox, the installation was rather painless. The ARGB cable was easily long enough to be managed in the back of the case and reach the bottom of the motherboard. Most importantly, the temps were very good. While idle, the CPU was within the range of 30-35C. During 5 minute long stress test, the CPU settled around 65-70C while peaking only a handful of times at 72C. This was much better performance than I expected. My only nitpick is that on the white model the seemingly “silver” stripe is only glossy white. It’s still quite the attractive and effective air cooler for a decent price.
