Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Let me cut to the chase… I’ve spent more money on headsets that delivered way less. The Weseary WG4 is seriously one of those rare finds that makes you wonder how they’re selling this thing for just $30 (at least that is what I bought them for but even if not on sale, the original price isn’t much more).First off, the sound is ridiculous. I’m talking crystal clear audio that rivals headsets I’ve used that cost over $100. As someone who’s done voiceover work and has been gaming for years, I know good audio, and these really deliver. The bass? Insane and honestly unexpected. Whether I’m gaming or jamming to music, every sound has depth and clarity that’ll make you do a double take. The microphone, personally for me, is where things get really interesting. I’ve used headsets for streaming, Discord calls, and professional voice work, and this little beast holds its own and would for these instances and probably so much more. The noise canceling is legit… my stream viewers and my discord friends have made comments about how clean and actually dynamic my audio sounds (which means if I were actually recording for voice work, the replayed audio would offer clarity but be in the game of decent competition comparable almost to a standalone microphone), with near zero background noise. So, the Weseary WG4’s 360 degree rotatable mic and quality if it isn’t just a gimmick or proclaimed feature as a way to convince you to buy this headset. No, in my opinion, it actually works and is something to make recommendation about. Now, to wearability. Comfort is key for any gamer (but also to anyone wanting to wear a headset for longer than an hour), and these nail the comfort quality for a casual or even intense level. I can wear these for hours during marathon gaming sessions, and my ears don’t feel like they’re being crushed, rubbed raw, or bent like origami. Also, even more importantly, my head… my head isn’t throbbing from the squeeze squeeze (if you’re a serious gamer, you know what the squeeze is and you know all about the fatigue and headache that almost always results after a session). The ear cups on the headset basically create their own little sound bubble, too, which is nice. This means that they happen to block out a lot of external noise without me having to crank the volume to ear-bleeding levels.Battery life is another huge win here. 35 hours with LED, 45 hours without? Are you kidding me?! I’ve owned other Weseary headsets and to be honest, their battery life is always good, even arguably better than they claim (especially because there’s no drain when they haven’t been used for days or even a couple weeks — which I’ve noticed does happen with some other brands). With the WG4’s and other Weseary models, I could get away with charging them only maybe once a week, and that’s with heavy use. An added benefit, though, the USB-C quick charging ability means I’m never really out of commission, which is crucial when you’re mid-game.Compatibility is solid across my devices – PC, PS5, Mobile, and TV. The wireless dongle is super reliable and has decent range, and the Bluetooth option has even better range and is nice for when I want to switch to my phone, TV, or when I need to emergently steal the USB port that I’ve had the dongle plugged into or even when I need to go troubleshoot my roommate’s computer. Unfortunately, I can’t speak for the usage with Switch because I don’t have a Switch, but I’m sure that it could meet the needs of a Switch gamer and be seamlessly compatible as I has been with the others I’ve mentioned. The best part of this headset overall? This headset costs less than a couple of AAA game titles. I’ve dropped $200 on “premium” headsets before that don’t even come close to this level of performance. If you’re a gamer on a budget (or honestly, even if you’re not), the Weseary WG4 is an absolute no-brainer.”

Customer Review: “I just received these today after buying them on sale for $25.59. I’ve only tested them for a couple of hours, but they’ve exceeded all of my expectations so far. I don’t play games online but I needed some headphones with a decent mic to use the for the AI race engineer feature in F1 25. First, the mic works perfectly even without a foam filter (I don’t think it came with one). The other headphones I have are good for listening and have that kind of noise cancelling but not on the mic, so the game wouldn’t shut off the mic communications because it (and I) still heard background resonance. I couldn’t hear a thing other than my voice with this Weseary set. The mic on this set is crystal clear with zero background hiss, even with a space heater working overtime in the room, which wasn’t on when I tried the other headphones. The reason I chose these over any other competitor was the breathable fabric. It’s fantastic compared to the typical faux leather of most ear cups. The padding seems exceptionally deep and dense too, no squish, so the padding contact patch stays the same size on your head as when they’re off, helping to stay even cooler. They’re incredibly lightweight and fit securely but not too tight, incredibly comfortable. I’m usually aware of the faux leather getting steamy after not too long and needing to vent my ears, but I’ve forgotten I’m still wearing these after a couple hours while I write this. I also tried a few minutes of Ghost of Tsushima and I can attest to the spatial separation and clarity over the set’s frequency range. It’s not boomy at all, but also not tinny. Just good low mid-range to highs, which I need most in racing sims. And even though I don’t really care what they look like given I don’t wear them outside, I do like how understated they are, with just a tiny, obligatory RGB band around the mic housing to let you know they’re if powered on. I usually use a 5.1 desktop sound system for non-racing sims but the more I use these as I’m writing this, the more I’m looking forward to trying them out with other games. Without having tried any other headsets of course, I can easily say that for the current sale price, I don’t see how these can be beat for mic noise cancelling, clarity and comfort at this sale price. Even for the full price they’re probably what should be expected.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “My son loved it, he uses them in his play 5 and xbox, it is perfect for several games, it can capture sounds with great sensitivity and eliminate noise, it has very comfortable pads and high-strength braided USB cable, they are of very good quality.”

Customer Review: “Really nice headphones blocked out all the noise around you which I love. You do have to plug in the USB in order for the light to work which if you’re playing with your PlayStation and plugged into the controller obviously that’s not doable. So I kind of wish it would still light up just for the fun of it. But if you’re plugged into the computer using the USB it’ll be lighten up and it’s pretty over all those sound quality and overall quality great!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “TL;dr: Great sound. Super cute. Comfortable to wear. Clear mic. Good price. No discomfort with glasses.I usually have issues with over-the-ear headphones because they start to hurt the upper ridge of my ear. These ones don’t! There are no annoying lights that are distracting while you’re wearing them, like there tend to be on other gaming headsets near the tip of the mic. It would be nice if the mic were reversible so you could wear them both ways, but that’s minor and I have no issue with it being on my left side.I also wear glasses and some over-the-ear headphones press in on the ear part and get uncomfortable. There may be a minor adjustment when I first put them on, but then I don’t have any problems with discomfort from my glasses either. Big plus for me.They are pretty noise cancelling when you have sound coming in, so it’s hard to hear anyone in the room with you talk, but if that’s your goal these are fantastic. If you are looking for some passthrough, you’ll want to find another set.”

Customer Review: “I don’t normally give reviews of the products that I buy. However, these headphones have surprised me and to fair I think I have to do it.I want to clarify that I am very annoying when buying something. I read different reviews, I watch a lot of videos on Youtube to compare products and get an idea of how it works and also know the pros and cons.I was looking for a product that wasn’t that expensive, but wasn’t really cheap either. So at AMAZON’s suggestion, I stumbled upon the SENZER SG500. I immediately started researching and followed my pre-purchase protocol. I read the reviews, looked up its features, and apparently the product had everything I was looking for. After careful consideration, I decided to give the SENZER SG500 a try and I must say I have no regrets. After a couple of weeks of wearing the SENZER SG500 every day, here are my comments.I usually teach online so I needed a product that wouldn’t kill my ears (Yes, I have big ears) after two or three hours and the ear pads are so well designed you don’t even notice them. They’re soft and they adapt themselves to the shape of your head, but more importantly, after a couple of hours, your ears thank you for how great they feel. The weight is another thing that surprises me, they are very light and sometimes you forget that you are using them. The cable is very well designed. It has a coating made of some kind of sintetic cloth, which is very difficult to break.Integrated into the cable, we find a small device that allows you to control both the volume and mute the microphone. And this is appreciated by me, because sometimes you just want to mute the microphone without having to do it on the device you are using (my laptop). And speaking of the microphone, it captures the sound with great quality. My students listen to me without problems and I can tell the difference in the new audios and tutorials that I recorded in the last days from the previous ones.I am aware that we are talking about a product that is designed for gaming, but this product can be used in other environments, such as a virtual classroom, video calls, recording, and even listening to music. As for the latter, I think it was what surprised me the most. It has such a clear sound that sometimes you think that the music is coming from outside and not from the SENZER SG500 itself. The basses are incredible and is never distorted. Always loud and clear. And I’m used to listening to music with good quality equipment, because sometimes I work at a local radio station with a friend.Another aspect that I like is that they can be folded and are easy to transport. If I had to describe my overall experience with the SENZER SG500, I have to give them a 5/5. At least in my case and two weeks using the product, it meets all my expectations. If you ask me about something negative and I don’t know whether to call it a negative, it has to be that I tried the product on my cell phone and although it is true that they sound quite good, the volume is low compared to when I use them on my laptop. I can attribute it to the fact that the sound output from my cell phone is not of quality or that it doesn’t have the correct power to really exploit the potential of the SENZER SG500. But that’s probably my phone. Now if you’re going to use them for what they were designed for, you won’t regret it.”

Cons:

  • Sound is not detailed or nuanced
  • Build quality is very plastic
  • RGB only works when plugged into USB power source

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I would rated 4.5 stars if I could. They work great but there’s one thing very annoying. I’d you set your game to vibrate the controller on PS5, it picks up the sound. It’s very loud. Then you can reduce the sound of the game sound effects, but that means it cuts all sound effects in the game. Other than that, the sound quality is great. In the MLB THE SHOW 25, it even picks up the crowd shouting specific words! The RGB lights work but only when the headphones are plugged in to a power source. If you plug them in to your controller, the lights would not come on.Definitely worth the money.”

Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. The IMYB A88 headphones are a recommended option thanks to their comfort, high-quality stereo sound with powerful bass, noise-canceling microphone, durability, and broad multiplatform compatibility (PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, etc.) all at an affordable price. Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I’ve had a pair of these headphones since 2020.They’ve lasted me for a long, long time. I’ve come back 5 years later to get me another pair, because only recently, the leather ear pads have started to peel off, and the mic got kinda worn out. Of course, these are only cosmetic problems. The mic works excellently, and my friends have even randomly just been like “Wow, how is your voice so clear”. It’s great. The sound quality is just as good as new. I’ve put these headphones through the ringer and they still work just fine. So if any of you particularly rage-prone gamers out there get you a pair of these headphones, I’m pretty confident they’ll survive an intimate high speed collision with your drywall. In all seriousness though, if you treat them well, I can see ’em lasting years longer than they lasted for me. Along with that, these headphones are a great budget option, especially if you don’t like rolling the dice on those unknown Chinese manufacturers that plague Amazon. For $40, I can’t think of a better option for a set of gaming headphones. If on the off chance something goes wrong, I’ll update this post (doubt I’ll need to lol).”

Customer Review: “I have had these for over two years now and really can’t complain about much. I play video games and stream with them and have gotten comments on how nice and clear my mic is.Audio: I think the audio is pretty standard. Not the best you’ll ever hear in life but in this price range it’s amazing. I’ve been jump scared a few times not being able to hear someone come up to my desk so the noise cancelling is pretty decent.Mic: I thought that maybe I needed to upgrade my mic but I haven’t found anything aside upgrading to an external mic that tops this. I love the flip to mute ability and use it frequently.Comfort: I usually start to feel the tiniest discomfort after about 5-6 hours which is plenty time for me most of the time. I have worn them longer and it’s not painful but just a little sore when I take them off. They are on the lighter side and adjust nicely.Longevity: There’s some slight wear on the headband part but that just started after all this time and they do rest on a holder in that spot. I did have some issues with sound stopping out of one earphone at one point, I think something became loose and so I just have to keep the volume scroll wheel on the actual headset in a certain spot now but it’s not a problem because I never used that to control the volume anyway. It hasn’t stopped working in a few months now. I haven’t seen anyone else have this issue when it started so could just be a rare occasion and of course eventually they’ll need to be replaced. For this price though I’d buy the same ones again and be set for a few more years at least.Comparison: I saw some HyperX Cloud Alpha S on sale and bought them thinking I was getting an upgrade and I was so wrong. The HyperX mic quality was so quiet I thought maybe it was just me but saw others posting online having the same issues. So far I haven’t been able to fix it enough and in order to stream and not annoy talking with friends in Discord I’ll be returning to using my Logitech headset for the foreseeable future. The HyperX was also much heavier and started to cause discomfort much sooner, maybe about two hours.Overall: Despite some minor issues these headphones have done really well for me and are better than other headsets I’ve tried that may be similarly priced. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a new gaming headset.”

Customer Review: “I was skeptical when purchasing a headset at this price, but the Razor BuckShark ended up being a gem. The headset is comfortable and lightweight with just a good old-fashioned volume knob on one side. No fiddling around with finding hidden buttons.I feel the audio quality is quite good and has enough power for clarity. The high quality is about what you would expect, but very clear and suitable for gaming/normal voice audio. Finally the only thing that worried me was the fact that it wasn’t cordless and I wondered if the cable would be long enough. Well both the cable and splitter extension are quite long and I was happy the cable is soft wrapped. All in all a very good product.”

Customer Review: “Very nice headset. The sound quality is great—though not the absolute best for music—but it has everything I need. The right side has the sound mode presets (game, movie, etc.) and the audio/mic balance button, so I don’t need the app to adjust anything while gaming. It’s lightweight with very good battery life, and you can charge it while using it. Noise cancelling is decent, and it also has an ambient mode so you can hear your surroundings if needed. The 2.4GHz dongle even has a programmable LED indicator for connection or battery status.Overall, it’s a great headset for the price and offers a lot of features.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Gaming Headsets For Under $4500

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing a gaming headset, we prioritize audio quality, microphone performance, comfort, and build durability. Sound should be immersive with good bass for explosions and clear highs for footsteps. The mic must transmit your voice clearly while suppressing keyboard clicks and background noise. Comfort is non-negotiable for marathon sessions—look for lightweight designs, ample padding, and adjustability. Finally, a sturdy build ensures your headset lasts through years of intense gaming.

Budget Planning

You don’t need to spend a fortune. Our list shows that fantastic options exist from $25 to $200. The WESEARY WG4 proves that under $30 can deliver premium features. The AOC and Razer V3 Pro show that investing $100-$200 gets you wireless tech, surround sound, and ANC. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the most important feature in a gaming headset?

A: While sound quality is crucial, comfort is the most important long-term feature. A headset that hurts after an hour will gather dust. Prioritize lightweight designs, breathable ear cushions (like fabric or memory foam), and a comfortable headband. The SENZER SG500 and WESEARY WG4 are top-tier in comfort.

Q: Is wireless worth it for gaming?

A: Yes, if you value freedom of movement. Modern wireless like 2.4GHz (used in AOC, Ozeino, Razer V3 Pro) has near-zero latency, perfect for competitive play. Bluetooth adds convenience for mobile use. The trade-off is charging batteries and a higher cost.

Q: Should I get a headset with active noise cancellation (ANC)?

A: ANC is a premium feature that uses microphones to cancel out ambient sound (like fans or traffic). It’s incredibly useful in noisy households or for focus. Only the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro on our list has it. If you game in a quiet room, it’s not essential.

Q: Do I need 7.1 surround sound?

A: Virtual 7.1 surround (like in Logitech G432, AOC, Razer V3 Pro) can enhance immersion and help pinpoint enemy footsteps in competitive games. However, a high-quality stereo headset (like the NUBWO or WESEARY) with a wide soundstage can perform just as well. It’s a nice bonus, not a necessity.

Q: How long should a gaming headset last?

A: With proper care, a good headset should last 3-5 years or more. The Logitech G432 review is from a user with a 5-year-old pair. Look for durable materials (metal headbands, braided cables) and replaceable ear cushions to extend lifespan.
