Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Amazon Renewed is great! This came half the price of buying it new and it works perfectly. Came with the cords needed just need a USB adapter if using a device that doesn’t have a USB port. It also came with the microphone jack attachment that you screw into the bottom. It has pretty good sound quality and is very sensitive, just doesn’t have a gain adjustment knob to really fine tune it. Works perfect for simple recording though!

Customer Review: I recently purchased the Blue Yeti Nano Premium USB Microphone as a gift. Still, after hearing it didn’t meet the recipient’s specifications, I was curious to see how it would perform against my expectations. Despite owning a professional microphone setup, I decided to give this “inexpensive beauty” a try, and I’m delighted I did. The setup process was straightforward, thanks to the intuitive Logitech G-hub software. Diving into the settings, I played around until I found the perfect sound profile that suited my needs. The Blue Yeti Nano’s versatility and ease of adjustment were genuinely impressive. To elevate the audio quality further, I paired the microphone with a low-profile arm stand, a shock mount, and a budget-friendly pop filter. The result? My streams and desk recordings have never sounded more professional. The audio clarity, richness, and depth the Blue Yeti Nano delivered exceeded my expectations, especially for its price point.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I have a black one and have used it for 2 years now with no issues! It’s very reliable and sounds clear, I’ve even gotten people asking what mic I use in game since it’s so clear. I believe it’s a great value for what you get and it will last you a long time. I bought this white one to fit my desk theme and gave my black one to my fiancé and he loves it too and better quality compared to his head set mic. Pros: Sounds great, great design, user friendly. Cons: Picks up everything (need to mess with settings), new firmware is a little temperamental (always on or off when computer is shut off, not able to mute mic when computer is off of mic is left on). Experience: I bought this white mic on the second try because the first one I received was defective. The audio jack was messed up some how during the manufacturing process. I troubleshooted it and found that the cause for the sound cracking when using it as a speaker (which I always do, aux cord with headphones, better sound quality than Bluetooth) was from the audio jack. I ordered another one and it seems to be an isolated issue. I was able to return it immediately through Amazon without issues. Make sure to test it out of purchasing as a gift.

Customer Review: Had one of these before and my other one finally died. Lasted me about 8 years. These microphones are amazing as they offer alot of features. There are several microphone setting so that you can make the microphone an omni- directional, cardioid, bi-directional and stereo capabilities. It is an excellent streaming mic for Zoom, Skype, etc…. You can also mute the mic instantly by pushing a button on the front as well as a volume control if you are using headphones. It is very easy to use as well as setup. It can be mounted as a boom mic or as a standalone mic as it come with a stand. Its a great all around mic and Id recommend this to someone looking for a mid price range mic as it meets a lot of the needs for streamer and people who record music

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: For a refurbished mic, this is PERFECT! No issues in appearance, operation or sound quality. In fact, I think it works TOO well. I typically keep my gain at the lowest setting, maybe turning it up a little bit once in a blue moon. Just plug this puppy in and go! I’ve been on discord calls on my phone for years, and the sound quality of this mic was so good that it took my friends a while to get used to the natural timbre of my voice. A cheap, reliable and amazing investment for gaming set ups and beyond!

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I bought this refurbished for about half the price. It looked new to me and the sound is great. I’m not an audio nerd- this is perfect for the level I’m working at. Functional, good sound, easy interface. The tricky part was getting my laptop to cooperate. Hint: turn off windows ‘sound enhancements.’

Customer Review: Love this microphone. I got this to support conferencing such as Google Hangout, Zoom etc. I have used it on my Mac Mini, my Windows Laptop, and Chromebook. Works well on all three. Sound the other end of the wire is awesome. Yes it is definitely best if you yak close up to the thing, but it also is pretty good even at a distance. The retro look is very cool, and it is very stable and does not pick up too much vibration through the base. Overall I rate this 5 star, two thumbs up. Glad I bought this instead of the smaller siblings. Worth it for business use as well as games, and social. With the current social distancing, do yourself stand out from the crowd and don’t sound like a turkey on the internet! Definitely recommended. BYTW, this Yeti was refurbished. Like new.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I use this for streaming on twitch. The recording quality is amazing. My voice is clear and I can be heard a lot better. The cord is pretty long and uses USB A (PC) to USB C (G Yeti) connections. Functions really well. You can adjust it however you want in the Logitech G Hug software and add effects. Definitely worth the value as a starter mic. It’s pretty high quality and looks it as well. It picks up your voice pretty fast as well even the smallest of sounds you make.

Customer Review: Very happy with this microphone. Fantastic clarity and a good weight, not heavy but will sit firm on a desk. Grew so tired of the piss-poor microphones that slap onto “Gaming Headsets” Do yourself a favor. Get yourself a microphone, and a dedicated headset (with no microphone). You might pay a bit more but you’ll thank me once you’ve experienced a product that may only do 1 thing. But it does that one thing very well.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Works great! Sound quality is good and very similar to it’s big brother, the Blue Yeti. So everyone is aware, the “Renewed” means that it is Refurbished, so the microphone was preowned and fixed. The box looking rough upon it arriving means it was either roughed up in the mail, while it was being fixed, or by the previous owner.

Customer Review: I had owned a Blue Yeti Nano from years ago, and I had always used a headset for my remote work. Just for reference, I have a couple setups in my home. A couple downstairs, a couple upstairs and each required a different headset (overkill, probably) and one of the key feedback that I got was that I sounded different based on the PCs I was sitting at. The most positive feedback was that I sounded best at the Blue Yeti Nano desk and I decided to purchase a couple renewed microphones for those other desks. All I can say is if you were worried about buying refurbished, don’t be. This sounded just as good as the one I bought brand new. My product came in tip-top shape with no scuffs, or obvious damage. It looked practically new. And there are no distortions of internal damage that interrupted the audio. I am more than pleased with my purchase.

8. Logitech G Yeti GX RGB Microphone

Logitech G Yeti GX RGB Microphone for Podcasts Black Renewed LIGHTSYNC Blue VO!CE Supercardioid USB Plug-and-Play PC Mac

✓ Blue VO!CE software with broadcast-style vocal effects
✓ LIGHTSYNC RGB illumination

✓ USB-C connection

Why We Recommend It

Its supercardioid pickup pattern is incredibly tight on your voice, doing a great job rejecting keyboard clatter and background noise. The Blue VO!CE software adds fun and professional vocal effects easily. It’s a step up from the Orb in terms of focus and software power, making it ideal for serious streamers.

Best For

Streamers and content creators in noisy environments who need the tightest possible pickup pattern and want to use vocal effects. Perfect for competitive gamers, loud shared spaces, or anyone wanting that “broadcast” sound.

Pros and Cons

  • Renewed stock may vary

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Best mic I’ve gotten so far the quality of the sound has met my expectations. It’s pretty small so it doesn’t protrude on my desk. The software program you can get with it is really easy to use. Has helped reduce sound as I share a room.

Customer Review: Took a risk ordering this as “Renewed”. It appears as though this mic was never used before. It came in factory packaging with a factory seal. Great mic- if you have a boom arm. Placing it directly on a desk allows quite a bit of percussive sounds from keyboard through

Complete Buying Guide for Blue Microphones Yeti USB Microphone

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing a Blue Yeti or Yeti Nano, the biggest decision is about pickup patterns. The full-size Yeti offers four: Cardioid (front, best for solo streaming/podcasting), Omnidirectional (all around, for group recordings), Bidirectional (front and back, for interviews), and Stereo (for music). The Yeti Nano and Snowball iCE are simpler, offering only Cardioid (and Omni on Nano). Consider your primary use. Also, think about size—the full Yeti is large, while the Nano is much more desk-friendly. Renewed/refurbished models offer incredible value if you’re comfortable with them.

Budget Planning

You have a clear tiered structure. The Blue Snowball iCE is the entry point (~$50 renewed). The Yeti Nano sits in the sweet spot (~$80-$100 renewed) for compact quality. The full-size Blue Yeti is the premium choice (~$100-$130 renewed) for full versatility. The RGB-focused Yeti Orb and Yeti GX fall in a similar price range but trade pattern flexibility for aesthetics and software features. Always check renewed listings on Amazon for the best savings.

Final Thoughts

You can’t go wrong with any of the main Yeti models. For most people, the Yeti Nano offers the best balance of size, sound, and price. If you need every pickup pattern, the full-size Yeti is the classic. For the tightest voice isolation and RGB, look at the Yeti GX. And if you’re just starting, the Snowball iCE is a phenomenal first step. All are available renewed, making Blue’s excellent audio accessible to any budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the Blue Yeti and Yeti Nano?

A: The full-size Yeti has a larger body, a four-pattern selector (Cardioid, Omni, Bi-Directional, Stereo), and a slightly fuller sound. The Yeti Nano is smaller, has only two patterns (Cardioid and Omni), but delivers remarkably similar core sound quality in a more compact, often cheaper package.

Q: Are renewed/refurbished Blue Yeti microphones worth it?

A: Absolutely. Amazon Renewed and other certified refurbished programs thoroughly test and restore these mics to like-new condition, often with a warranty. They offer the same performance at a significant discount, making them the best value buy.

Q: Do I need a pop filter with a Blue Yeti?

A: While the Yeti’s cardioid pattern helps, a pop filter is highly recommended. It reduces plosive sounds (“p” and “b” bursts) that can cause distortion. It’s a cheap accessory that dramatically improves audio quality, especially for vocal recordings.

Q: Can I use a Blue Yeti for music recording?

Q: Which Blue Yeti color should I buy?

A: The color has no impact on performance. Choose based on your preference and desk aesthetic. The “Blackout” models (like the USB-C compatible one) have a different finish and sometimes different included cables. Renewed models come in various colors like Silver, Midnight Blue, Shadow Grey, etc., often at great prices.

Ultimately, the “best buy” Blue Yeti USB microphone is the one that fits your specific needs, desk space, and budget. The Blue Yeti Nano consistently emerges as the top recommendation for its perfect blend of performance and compact size, especially when purchased renewed. For those needing every pattern, the classic full-size Blue Yeti remains a legendary workhorse. Don’t overthink it—any of these will be a massive upgrade over built-in audio. Check the prices, consider your primary use case, and click that button to upgrade your sound today.
