Wow is this Best way to describe this mic set! I was looking for a wireless microphone set to use for my daughters cheerleading team at school as they we’re having a karaoke booth for their high school homecoming carnival. I was in charge of getting the microphone and realized at the last minute that the one that I had in storage no longer worked so I quickly research on Amazon and found this one. I ordered and received it within a couple of days just in time for the carnival. The price of this it was great And I wasn’t sure what I was going to receive as far as quality but let me tell you it far exceeded my expectations! This is a very professional set and worked amazing! One of the best features is the sound quality as well as the fact that the kids could walk around and the range was great as well. The microphones are also very durable as we went through at least 50 to 75 groups of kids all singing and dancing to karaoke without any problems at all with sound quality or range. I would highly recommend this Set for anyone looking for a great microphone duo set at a very reasonable price.

Been using this for occasional voiceover work and every person I collaborate with are in disbelief that this is a budget condenser. I run it through a behringer uphoria and get noise free and crystal clear results. I think the pop filter is a bit useless but getting a better one is a cheap investment all things considered. This is a great kit to start off with without question. Probably not something to go with if your a working professional but its good enough to help you get there.

I am a mobile DJ event business owner. I am mostly a Shure / Sennheiser guy but after a few events with my Shure’s having some drops and interference I decided to look around to see what’s out there. I started my Phenyx Pro journey using their PTU 7000 2H2B for wedding ceremonies. It has not disappointed yet I had set up for a wedding about 200 feet from where the officiant is going to be and it worked flawlessly as expected. As the owner of a mobile DJ and event company we do many events but during this time of year (summer) it is mostly weddings with multiple set up sites and many needs to be mobile. This lead me to try the PDP-2. I want to say the mobility of this handheld is second to none it is battery powered (good battery) and able to be charged by my Everse 8 if needed and plug and play (for the most part and I’ll get to that). I used these at three different events and after the events I was blown away at the use of them. Let me tell you that as a Shure / Sennheiser at these mobile outdoor events I couldn’t hear a difference between the Phenyx Pro that I own. I will say for my voice being low this mic can be a bit punchy plugged directly into the speaker but through a mixer I can adjust it to sound as good as anything else I own. The feel of these mics feel good with a full metal handle and easy to install batteries and change channel if you need to. My only concern is the antennae on the receiver but I created a space in my small cable bag where it’s protected. The first event I used this plugged directly into a speaker to make announcements at a cocktail site (separate from ceremony and reception areas). Plugged directly into the Everse 8 I found it to be clear. and again the mobility here was what I needed most. The second event I used it for both a cocktail mic and a reception mic for my own announcements. Let me say that I replaced my Shure mic for my announcements during the reception again I was very happy with these and the mic itself is very study and I’m happy to say that you don’t get the tapping sound that I use to get on my Shure mic that I use for my own announcements. The third event is where I was sold that these mics are great for me. It was a 4 site wedding (Ceremony, Cocktail, Dinner / Toasts lastly dance party) I used these mics for the cocktail and during dinner announcements and the toasts. During my sound tests there were drops on the channel I was on but after a very easy and quick change of channel it was rock solid. For the Cocktail I knew what to expect as I’ve used these before in this situation but if you look above at the picture I have very little room to place speakers the dinner site was tight with all the guests. I connected my two everse and utilized the Phenyx Pro PDP-2 for all announcements and toasts for the duration of this part of the event. The room was in an odd T shaped with large pillars in the middle and you would think most of the toasts were done at the head table so clear line of sight HOWEVER the father of the bride wanted a podium for all his notes. So his positioning was around the corner of the T and behind both the pillars about 50 feet away. I was nervous as I advised him it’s better for mics to have line of sight. He was adamant about the positioning and the podium being behind the pillars. I am very happy to say these mics were incredible and lossless. all the toasts were incredible both sound quality and again the pure mobility of these won the day for this event. I can say after the second event which I had one of my other Dj’s out with me he went out and bought some Phenyx Pro products for his own since he really liked the use, the sound and portability of this product. Last thought is that for what I do there are tools that work great but remember not all tools are perfect for every job. Make sure you have the right tools but if you’re looking for a battery powered mic system that is plug and play that is small with great mobility and portability this mic system is perfect for you.

I admit, for the price I wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was mistaken. I am a professional sound guy by trade, so I probably have higher expectations than the average user these microphones are geared towards. The first thing I noticed was how well packaged they were. I was disappointed in the manual as my aging eyes couldn’t make it out. Thankfully there was pdf version nicely located right on the Amazon site. The box included everything you need to get started. A charging cable for the receiver and batteries for the transmitters. So it wasn’t long before they were up and running. The one thing I didn’t expect at this price point was the included wind socks. That was a real surprise. The microphones themselves are made from metal, another surprise. They are standard size and relatively light weight. Set up was as simple as it could be. There aren’t a lot of confusing controls to fuss with. So new users should have no trouble getting started. There are two adapters included. It’s really amazing how much you get for such a moderate price point. I put these mics through a variety of tests to see how they would perform under various conditions. The range was impressive, but you have to pay attention to the orientation of the receiver to get the most out of it. Even with the receiver obscured I was still able to get a very usable distance out of them. One thing I did notice is the indicator screens on the mics were almost impossible to read out doors even in the shade. Although this shouldn’t be a problem once they are set up. The mute button works well but it does make an annoying metallic sound when pressed. I believe if it were made with some high impact plastic that would go away. One thing to remember is both mics are on one receiver, so you can not individually change their levels or equalization. Both mics sounded the same and were equal in volume. The sound is okay. I was able to use eq and get them sounding pretty decent. Overal this was an easy to use decent sounding mic package that would be great for parties and singing karaoke. They would also be an excellent choice for people needing to have a quick and easy public address system where there might be multiple speakers. I was able to plug the receiver into the back of a powered speaker and have a working systems an about two minutes. I can see these being very useful for those that might need a cheap set up for a one off event, or for those that might be getting started. Overall you can’t go wrong with these microphones at this price point.

I have been using this mic for 2 years and still going. I needed something to quickly replace my lousy head set mic which introduced a lot of noise. I found this USB Tonor on Amazon after spending hours combing through countless of affordable mics and read enough reviews to convince me to give this one a try. I also bought a separate stand for it so I can maneuver it’s position more efficiently. (the closer it is to your face, the better the sound quality). I use it pretty much every day when I get on Discord or play games like Apex legends, Phasmophobia, etc. I have been told that it sounds great! 🙂 I’ve messed around with Audacity and was also pleasantly surprised at how well this mic worked and how it made my voice sound like a radio personality. lol. Accessories: It does come with a removable foam filter and a round pop filter. The only negative here, is the pop filter’s arm. Mine is a bit flimsy and hard to keep in position. One slight tap and it moves. But, this is a very minor issue for me, as I can easily replace it with something a bit more sturdy. In then end however, I simply chose to not use one, as the foam cap was sufficient for my needs. I do wish the pop filter’s arm was removable from the base of the holder, but again, you can also replace the base itself with one that suits you needs. Sound transmission is very good and depends on uninterrupted USB connection. This is the first time I’ve used a USB mic, so I didn’t know what to expect. But it works great on my PC, connected to a USB 3.0 input. My specs for your reference: Motherboard: Asus B-450 F Gaming CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: Corsair 32GB 3600mhz dual channel mode. I also use a good quality braided USB extension cord and have added some ferrite rings at both ends of my USB cords to help reduce any EMI noise, just for good measure. Conclusion: I recommend it. It’s may not be an expensive studio professional grade mic, but it’s remarkably close and excellent for game and Discord use (and live streaming for that matter). I have to say I am SHOCKED at how good the quality is for the price on this microphone. Background : I don’t work in “the business” or anything. I am a bit of an audiophile (I know good sound when I hear it), but am admittedly NO expert on these things. At one point in my life, I was an on-air voice, and my father was life-long on air. I know a fair amount about audio quality. That said, I never made it my career as my dad did. And so I know more than the average person, but FAR less than the experts. I do have a high-end Neumann, but as I don’t have day-to-day need of these things, that requires a bit more preparation to use. I wanted something a little easier to deal with. I have to say I was VERY PLEASANTLY impressed with this microphone and without need of any additional amplifier. Included shock mount isn’t super robust, but also not cheap plastic or anything. Definitely serviceable. It does the job nicely. I do not have a “quiet room” … just my office with a laundry room not that far down the hall. For my test, the microphone did pick up some background from the laundry room, but that was as expected, and to be honest, FAR better than it could have been for a condenser. Overall sound quality was buttery. I’m not that great explaining tonal profiles. I’ll leave that to someone that knows those things. But my baritone voice came very cleanly. Microphone picks up nice bass notes, if you have a higher pitched voice, you may want to see someone’s review that more aligns with yours. No real setup required on my Windows 11 PC. Plugged it in, went to sound settings and set “Microphone 2020” as the active profile to use, and boom it worked. I did have to bump up the input volume on my PC, it defaults to 50% which was ludicrously low leveling. Excellent product. I LOVE THIS THING.

I’ve never been exposed to such a powerful mic. Yes like they said YOU GOTTA TURN YOUR GAIN UP but once you get that to the level you want THERE IS NOTHING THIS MIC WONT PICK UP. I could leave this mic laying in the livingroom and still hear everything its picking up from the bedroom even if a bug walked across the bed this mic is sure to pick up that frequency. I’ve used this mic to PROFESSIONALLY RECORD MY OWN MUSIC and the way it makes me sound is so great its pleasing to my ears and CRYSTAL CLEAR. I love the power of this mic and I highly recommend it and will be purchasing another to have as a BACK UP. Just make sure when you are using it to turn on your PHANTOM POWER. This mic requires 48V or what most know as PHANTOM POWER to work correctly as stated. So other then that this is a great product and if you dont get it your missing out. Wanted a relatively inexpensive mic for quick auditions and one-off projects that I could set up in front of the PC/laptop. While the SM4 isn’t going to touch the transparency and natural richness of the expensive German mic in my VO both, let’s discover what it can do. First, it’s all XLR, which means you’ll need an IO to get it via USB into your PC/Mac. The package comes with a shockmount and cute little windscreen. Get the package – any mic this caliber that comes with a shockmount for 3 bills is a danged steal! The windscreen is OK if you don’t move a lot of air or pop your P’s. I went with an aftermarket beast that actually fits over the whole mic, blocks some off-axis noise, yet is still wonderfully transparent. How does it sound? With a little EQ and maybe some final processing, you’ll be VERY pleased with the sound you get for what you paid! I’ve got this one pre-amp’d through a Great River ME-INV which gives it all the boost it needs and provides its needed phantom power. I gave a little more presence in the mid and upper ranges which livens it up to my liking. Careful with the low end because it can get a little muddy/boomy with lower frequency boosts. I love Shure mics, been using them all my 40+ year career from SM58’s live, to the SM7 for broadcast tracking into a laptop and now the SM4. If you’re looking for a great vocal mic for podcasting, improving the sound of your VO work, and getting great value for this kind of price point, you can’t go wrong with the SM4. Put this in a quiet booth-type setting, take some time with setting the EQ, and you’ve got a mic worth easily twice the price.
