The mount is typical clip on like a webcam, but with a small gimbal to adjust direction and of the mic. It’s simple a simple USB-C connection, and comes with a USB-A adapter if needed. Plug and play. No software or drivers needed. Works automatically with Zoom, Google Meet, Voice Memos, or pretty much anything I’ve tried with it. No problems on Macs, including latest M-series chips. Sound wise, it’s super clear and a clear step up from built in mics. Because of the pickup pattern, noise to the sides and back are great reduced. The mic is def tuned for voice and video conferencing in particular. The mic construction seems very solid (metal housing) and the mute button provides a convenient LED to indicate when the mic is muted. The mic mute does not sync with the Zoom UI though, so you the LED is handy. It’s compact and can be tossed in a bag without worry. There is a semi-hidden active noise cancellation function. Press and hold the mute to enable/disable it (led alternates between blue and green). This might help in particularly noisy environments, like a coffee shop or open office, and is an unexpected bonus, even if you have it disabled.

Customer Review: I’ve spent quite a bit of time messing around with PC microphones and such over the years, and after trying, using, trying other microphones, going back to this one, I can feel confident is the statement that this is the BEST PC microphone you’ll find out there under the $50.00 price point. I’d say it’s probably better than some in the $70.00 range, if not comparable at-least. The microphone itself is simple and straightforward. It’s simply an electret condenser element in the small head, and inside the weighted base is the amplification/power circuity to drive the element. It’s a very simple and time tested design that works well. For under $20.00, this is a bargain. I own two of them on two different PC’s and they both work flawless. I have the basic model with JUST the mute button. I didn’t like the option of having a gain knob there, it’s a little redundant to me when one can control their microphone sensitivity with Windows anyway. The audio quality of the microphone is excellent for most users. You’re NOT going to get super high fidelity wide range audio with this microphone. What you ARE going to get though is clean, clear, communications grade audio that’s perfect for Skype, Zoom, VOIP calls, basic speech recording, and the like. Higher audio quality is going to require a more expensive microphone obviously, that’s just how microphones work. Don’t let this deter you though. The audio quality and frequency response for basic use is exceptional. It’s a winner. Highly recommend.

It is plug and play, my voice is not distorted, has a built in mute feature, and has a detachable cable (which was my main reason for buying a new mic). My only problem (if I understand correctly) is that the audio input volume doesn’t have any sort of indicator when I use the dial. So I’m not sure how loud or quiet I am without using the input tests on my PC or just spin the dial all the way to the right. Otherwise, this microphone is perfect for me.

So my reviews are not based on a FREE item given to me but ones I have purchased and used. I have been using this TONOR USB Conference Microphone for almost a year now. I use it weekly in our church service. We have a small old country church that we live stream our services on and needed an omni directional microphone for those on Zoom. I had tried a couple of other microphones that worked okay. Each had different issues which we were not completely satisfied with. Then we purchases the TONOR microphone and tried it. Let me say that it is the BEST microphone by far of the ones we tried. The microphone picks up sound from all over our church (which is what we want…especially when doing prayer requests). The sound is crystal clear even when people are talking quietly. The mute button in the center works great when I need to use it! We also run it from the front our church all the way to the back (about 75 feet) using a USB cord and it works flawlessly. There is never a lag. It is very durable. It has been accidently dropped a few times but no dents or damage and the sound quality remained excellent. I usually don’t give such high praise for an item but this microphone has worked perfectly over the last year…. and I believe it will last for MANY years! We are COMPLETELY SATISFIED and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the TONOR USB Conference Microphone! A+++

Customer Review: I have a laptop plugged into a USB docking station. The speaker worked almost immediately upon set up. The only thing I had to do was change the speaker in MS teams. Otherwise, it was plug and go, no issue! The speakerphone has a USB plug into the laptop.
