I do like that the rear panel is easily removed and replaced due to the use of magnets instead of clips.One feature I do like is the USB-C connectivity. Customer Review: “I keep buying these.You know the 1920×1080 specs, image quality is LCD. Side viewing is decent.I picked 32″ and 1080 so the smallest text & menus remain readable. I could have gone 32″ 4K but I just I\’ve have to deal with scaling and all that. Besides, less pixels and for programming on the road, it\’s fine.Base disassembles easily enough. Tab releases the vertical part of the base, quarter turn to separate. Since it\’s just me handling, I don\’t bother putting in the screws; (not a negative, just an understood condition) just be careful turning the monitor else it will fall off the base.I\’ve got a bag to carry two of these when I travel. One has a SFF computer VESA mounted on the back. Not gamer but good CPU/RAM/multimonitor outputs. Whole setup works well.To make it more travel friendly, I carry two individual USB C PD power supplies. One with a USB C PD cable to power the SFF computer. One with a USB C PD cable to power the monitor at 12 volts. (Make sure your PD power supply supports 12 volts; not all do.) Makes travel much lighter.Fun / interesting thing. When the computer is off and monitor having power but sleeping, in certain lighting conditions you may notice the display cycling between red, green, blue, white and off. If you have one, put a small flash up to the monitor when it is powered by sleeping and you\’ll never be able to unsee this. Customer Review: “I’ve been using this Viewsonic VX2778-SMHD 27 inch monitor since Jan, 2017, Very nice monitor! But, then I built a dream machine. i7-14700K on an ASRock Z790 Riptide motherboard with lots of SSD’s and NVME drives. 48 gigs of very fast RAM and two DVDRW’s. I’m pretty good at this and I did my very best not to allow any bottlenecks and not spend money on silly things. It absolutely screams; it gets stuff done fast! I also have an older Intel computer, an AMD computer, and a Raspberry Pi in here. So I have an HDMI KVM switcher and an HDMI audio extractor (audio goes straight to a competent home stereo). So, I don’t play any games anymore, but I do want to get stuff done!There came a point where I wanted to make use of this somewhat better video card that’s better than anything I’ve ever used. (Still not for gaming, tho.) I scoured Amazon. I ended up getting an NVidia GeForce GTX 1660 used, that was DIRT cheap! I chewed my nails wondering if it was going to work, but it did and it does! From the first momen, for about 9 or 10 months! I forget how much memory it’s got, but it’s up there. So, now, I had this video card mostly going to waste (Except for hardware acceleration; that’s really nice!) So, I measured how much room I have. If I looked at monitors with really thin frames around the screen and measured and did the math… I decided on 32 inches. I scoured Amazon again and got to this monitor: (KTC H32T13 32 Inch)I had a little trouble. First of all, I’m lazy. I was still building that i7 and I set the monitor aside after unpacking it and went through all my other stuff I had to do first. (The other 2 computers mentioned above both needed some help.) (And the computer room needed some rearranging.) There’s also that fact that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the old Viewsoni; there was no pressure… Anyway! From March 22nd until just now – two days ago – it just sat there. I don’t even know where the quick start guide or whatever it is, went to, and I didn’t want to conduct a lengthy search. Someone wrote that the power button is in a bad place. It’s not that bad at all. I spent a little while finding it; reach your hand around the monitor’s right side, near the bottom and feel for it. It sticks way out. The only time I have to reach for it is when I’m leaving the computer room to watch TV or go out or whatever. I can’t reach it sitting down, but I’m getting up anyway at that point. Then I was totally puzzled, trying to figure out how to set the settings on the monitor. It wasn’t bad, but I wanted to tweak the brightness, contrast, hue, gamma, etc. It took me quite a while to figure out that that power button, which is also a menu button (if you just touch it instead of holding it for three seconds) IS ALSO A JOYSTICK! Remember that! You can move it left, right, up, and down. Once I figured that out, it has a VERY logical, easy to use menu, unlike the Viewsonic mentioned about. The next problem I had was that a lot of things were ghosted in the menu and couldn’t be selected. Scratching my head, I theorized that probably the video card was running the monitor and I turned to the NVidia Control Panel on the computer. There are at least three different places to set all that on that i7 machine, but it ended up being the screen display settings that did it.I love this monitor now! Plenty bright, fast, 2K, really great picture!! If the power button in the back is even a negative, I don’t mind a bit. Everything else about it is outstanding! In about a minute, I had all those settings set. Beautiful bright, colorful screen! Perfect! I also have an older Silicon Dust HDHomeRun dual tuner. I encountered something that’s never happened before! Watched “The Rifleman” in black and white. NEVER BEFORE have I had perfect black and white! Always some kind of tinge, usually in the dark places. I mean PERFECT black and white! Then I watched some stuff on Charge! (Streaming) and I adjusted color saturation and hue and got the skin tones right. Absolutely perfect picture, no matter what I do, now!!This is not a cheap budget monitor; this is an inexpensive performance monitor that works extremely well! I completely recommend it and I think it’s a super nice deal for the money!!”

I love the combination of 24″ with 1440p for the high pixel density, but it is hard to find.I live in Paraguay at the moment and it is impossible to get 1440p monitors under 27″ here. And even those are really expensive compared to the US. So I had to import them from the US. The freight forwarder is payed by weight and it is pretty expensive, so I tried to find lightweight options. This monitor was a perfect fit for this requirement.The stand is almost all plastic and therefore a bit flimsy but light weight. The monitor itself is also pretty light. The overall build quality is still pretty decent and more importantly the screen itself is pretty good. Definitely good enough for office work or light color work like web design.I don’t have a color calibrator or a really accurate screen to compare, but on it’s own they look good. I got three and they all match pretty closely too.The three monitors with an outer Amazon box weight 13.6kg. With the extra shipping I payed around 230$ per monitor. Compared to the alternatives here I’m happy with the purchase. At only 120$ if you are in America they are an absolute steal.”

Customer Review: “The screen is better quality than my other 27 inch odyssey the G50D which has very similar specs with exact price at the time as well. Comparing with both monitors, I had them both set to original in settings for picture quality and the brightness level was the same at 50 and the monitor on this one is brighter. I have a picture comparing this monitor and the G50D I also own. The G50D being on top. The designs of the two are a tad different, the G50D has a rectanglish shape on the bottom where the samsung logo is. This newer one is just flat which looks kind of cleaner. The G50D the control button is on bottom of screen. This newer monitor G50F the control button is on the back bottom left. You have to feel all over just to find the stupid thing. It took me a while to find after mounting it on stand and really thought it was missing the button at first. The G50D had a weird thing where edges of screen looked 3D’ish, this newer monitor didn’t have this issue. So back to the title. This newer monitor is good but remember the protective film on the screen to NOT peel from left to right like I did. You are supposed to peel down to up. It left some sticky residue lint on the bottom between screen and bezel. I was able to get most of it out using a thin piece of paper or plastic from a package. The little picture on the bottom left of protective film tells us to peel bottom to top. I thought it was just indicating to peel off before use because I didn’t pay too much attention.”

Customer Review: “Update: It’s been about two months since I started using this, zero issues, still working like a champ, will try to update periodically.I was initially very hesitant on buying this, my prior monitor was a Sceptre 32” curved gaming monitor (C326B-185RD), the Sceptre is a VA panel monitor, 1920×1080 with no HDR support.I was hesitant about buying this one because it has an IPS panel, if you Google it you’ll find lots of people saying IPS panels have two problems compared to VA panels:1. “IPS glow”2. Blacks would appear gray.These issues caused some hesitation, I considered going with VA again but ended up going with this instead since I’ve never tried IPS for a gaming monitor. It turned out those fears were overblown, there is a TINY amount of IPS glow but it’s at the four corners and it appears to be a viewing angle artifact, because I can make the glow move by moving my head around. It’s definitely not a physical defect like “light bleeding” where the backlight is separating from the panel or something, it’s only noticeable on a completely black screen (such as a loading screen) and even then it’s barely noticeable, it looks like a very slight hue on the very tips of the four corners. The vast majority of the time you won’t be in a situation to even be able to notice it, even the darkest areas in actual gameplay such as caves, or dark settings in movies, it’s completely unnoticeable, and the blacks do appear as deep blacks, not grays.I attached pictures I took of the Sceptre and Samsung side-by-side with the same images shown on each monitor: a black screen and SMPTE color bars, you be the judge. Note that I turned exposure down when taking these pictures, since these were taken in a room with all lights off, I took them in a room with all lights off to demonstrate how dark the blacks are and to highlight any glow. You can clearly see that the Sceptre’s black screen looks almost light gray with a tremendous amount of glow around the edges, the colors on the Sceptre wash out as a result, the Sceptre is a VA panel that’s supposed to be better at blacks than IPS panels are, yet it’s far worse, the Samsung wins in both colors, blacks, and lesser glow.My Samsung arrived with no defects and no dead pixels. I test that by using an all white screen and an all black screen for dead and live pixels respectively, the monitor has a self-diagnosis feature in the menu that shows you something similar to SMPTE color bars as well.Compared to the Sceptre:✅ This has the same screen size as the Sceptre but a much higher resolution so the pixel density is much higher, making things look less grainy than the Sceptre, very crisp.✅ The IPS panel doesn’t have noticeable ghosting or black smearing compared to the Sceptre’s VA panel.✅ The colors on the IPS panel are extremely vivid compared to Sceptre’s VA panel. The color difference is startling, it breathes new life into even old games that appear washed out or dull in comparison.✅ It has HDR10 support, the Sceptre is SDR only. HDR makes a huge difference, the layman’s explanation for HDR is that things which are supposed to be bright (like sunlight or sunlit areas in games) become physically brighter by increasing the brightness/nits for the actual pixels themselves, which makes the game world pop. On monitors without HDR (SDR), all of the pixels are uniformly lit to the same brightness. I never thought I would need it but now I can’t do without it.✅ I use both Windows 11 and MacOS, the Sceptre had weird issues with MacOS on Apple Silicon, especially in clamshell mode where it would not wake MacOS from sleep or be recognized, this has none of those issues, works perfectly with MacOS on Apple Silicon via HDMI connected to a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 dock.✅ Has much more configurability and robust settings than the Sceptre has.What don’t I like about it?❌ Only having two inputs: it should have one DisplayPort and two HDMI at a minimum, instead it only has one of each which is a bit paltry and stingy.❌ Putting the menu joystick on the back of the monitor, you have to fumble blindly for it.❌ There’s a feature to draw a fixed crosshair at the center of the screen, kind of “cheating” for gaming. While nice this feature was not implemented well, in that once you activate it it’s on all the time, even when you’re not playing a game, you’re browsing the web with a crosshair at the center. If you want this eye sore out of the way you have to go back to the menu, navigate through two or so levels to turn it off and repeat when you want to turn it on. The menu joystick shows the same source menu if you toggle it left or right, instead of making both left and right do the same thing they couldn’t reserve one of those for a quick on/off for the crosshair? I know you can probably toggle the virtual crosshair with Samsung’s software but I don’t really want to install that and have it running just for that.If you do get it and you have Windows 11, after you have your new monitor in place and configured properly (the color “mode”), make sure you go to the HDR settings and click the link for the calibration tool to download it through Microsoft Store and use that to make an accurate color profile.Overall very satisfied I chose this monitor and went through with it, a solid 9/10.”
