Idle temps are 36°c to 38°c and under medium loads it may hit 62°c. Heavy loads 65°c to 72°c. The heavy loads im referencing are AI LLM and AI Training. I run the fans at 100% at all times and the noise is negligible at most. You “hear” the fan and pump but its that low soft hum that really to me is a peace of mind to hear.It is compatible for intel and amd for several socket models. It comes with all necessary mounting hardware and they even throw in their name thermal paste. I use Artic mx-7, but i have heard good reviews on ThermalRights, so i kept it for back up purposes.Im very impressed and have to say ThermalRight is a good company! Install was a breeze. I didnt even need the manual. And for those, you’ve come to the right place. Sure it’s got 10+ wires coming out of it that need to be managed, but those LEDs are LIT, bro! The leds are bright and vibrant and the CM software, though just as clunky as every other ARGB solution out there, is competent enough to achieve some great lighting effects. The included controller will allow you to use software to control 4 channels of ARGB stuff via software, even if your motherboard does not have any RGB headers or if you do have RGB headers on your motherboard, it comes with all the necessary wiring to connect it. Mine is over 5 years old and only has two fan headers… splitters are your best friend in this situation. Got more than 4 things to light? Daisy chain them sons o’ guns. The fans on the AIO are a bit loud at full-speed, but at 50% or lower are completely unnoticeable (at least with the level of background noise in my room). I have provided a picture of the temperatures of an overclocked i9-9900k at idle after (please note that the max temperatures shown in the image reflect the highest temperatures seen running benchmark tests on a few games like Far Cry 5). As anyone should tell you, pictures of core temperatures alone are useless without information about ambient temperature. I am using a Rosewill Spectra C100 case with great airflow inside of a room with ambient temperatures of 67F. This means that, at the 4GHz clock shown, the AIO has almost successfully cooled the CPU to surrounding air temperature at low loads. For gaming, I rarely feel the need to push the CPU beyond 4GHz as I game at 4k and receive little benefit from higher clockspeeds (GPU bottleneck with an RTX 2080 Ti). For professional work outside of gaming, I do push clock speeds to 5 GHz on all cores, particularly when I’m doing rendering work. In these professional workloads, I have never seen the temperature exceed the low-mid 80’s on any core – perfectly acceptable for such a powerful overclock and high loads, multi-core loads. In terms of gaming, I rarely see my temperatures exceed the mid 50’s.Now, for the bad – the setup! I’m an electrical engineer and it took me some amount of time to decipher the included instructions and figure out how to set up the RGB controller correctly (this thing includes an absurd number of wires – be ready to manage them). Once this was done, though, it does appear that the system does an okay job at interacting with MSI Mystic Light, and the pre-programmed RGB patterns are fine. If you’re looking for something more flashy, there are definitely good alternatives as the RGB lighting on this system is quite conservative (not a bad thing IMO).

Customer Review: So my use case for this is in a mATX home server with an 8th gen i7-8700k, 32GB of RAM, NVIDIA Quadro P1000 GPU and approx 100TB of storage. The case is a Fractal Meshify 2 Nano. I have 3x 3.5″ drives internally, as well as 2x 2TB M.2 SSDs (Windows 11 Pro on one, and mirror backup of the OS on the other). This server is primarily used for data backups, Plex Media Server and also does a lot of the grunt work for encoding blu-rays to MKV files via Handbrake. The CPU barely ever needs to work hard, and my existing cooler was a well trusted and heavily used 10 year old Coolermaster Hyper 212 cooler. It’s an exceptional air cooler. However, as you can see in the original installation the flaw in the plan. It blows warm CPU heat onto one of the 24TB Seagate Drives. I actually had to RMA the previous drive in that location, likely due to heat. Despite the cool temps inside the case, the blowing of warm air directly onto it probably did it no favours.Enter, a replacement AIO! There is no longer warm air onto the drive at all. I have the radiator front mounted, and venting out of the front panel. This is opposite to how most of my builds are since I typically pull air in from the front and out via the rear. Well, this different layout makes sense in this configuration. I will be adding a 120mm intake fan in what little free space is above the CPU.Installation was stupidly easy. I just picked the Intel parts, (Yes, it doesn’t say on the listing but it WILL fit a LGA 1151) and then mounted the back plate. I then had to shuffle the top mounted HDD back an inch or two, and finagle the front radiator into place without the fans (micro ATX case, so tight space). Once I had it set just right, I pre-wired the fans and routed their cables and then secured them to the radiator. I reattached the vent panel on the bottom of this particular case for maximum airflow efficiency. Once I connected the 4 pin fan header and 4 pin water pump header, I installed the pump/block itself. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fan headers are actually still accessible after mounting the pump. These were completely blocked off by the old air cooler.I fired it up, ran some bench testing to verify it was working – as well as see what noise level was like. It’s actually pleasantly quiet! Some pumps have a whine, but this one does not. I have used a Corsair Capellix H150i in my gaming build for several years so this is my only AIO to compare with – I have so far been impressed. Just 15c after a reboot from doing stress tests, temps barely kicked up to 19-21c during testing. This is a big improvement over the air cooler. At this price point, you cannot go wrong. Great price, great fit, great compatability. I am happy.
