Customer Reviews

Customer Review: The keyboard and mouse, really great products, very quiet, pressing the keys and controls really felt like I was using a $500 gaming set up. I purchased this gaming pack for my daughter, and she loved it. Only problem was the first pack I got for her the LED lights were faulty, shutting off, or only lighting 1/2 the keyboard, ordered another and did the same thing.

Customer Review: Keyboard looks great and works ok for a couple of hours. Then the lights start to flicker and it has to be restarted several times by turning the power on and off. Not sure what to do about that. Edit: Ok, so here is the deal, I finally figured out this thing doesn’t have any indication that it needs charging other than wigging out like I described above. If you plug it up and let it charge a while when you’re using it every few days, (ours gets used a good bit) it works great.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Surprisingly Quiet, Solid Value Keyboard + Mouse Combo If you want a quiet keyboard, this one delivers. It’s proudly membrane — you can definitely tell it’s not a mechanical switch board — but in this case, that’s actually a strength. The typing feel is soft, consistent, and pleasantly muted, making it great for shared spaces or late‑night use. For gaming, it holds its own. It’s not as fast as a true switch‑based board, but it’s responsive enough to handle casual and mid‑level gaming without issue. The RGB lighting doesn’t shy away either — it’s bright, bold, and fully committed to the aesthetic. The included mouse is decent. Nothing premium, but accurate and reliable enough for everyday use or gaming on a budget. This combo surprised me. I actually planned to return it because I bought a mechanical board while waiting for this one to arrive. But once I tried it, I realized it checks all the boxes I needed: quiet, well‑built, and it feels like it should cost more than it does. Add a wrist rest and this could easily become an office favorite. The keys are well‑spaced, the feedback is comfortable, the caps are slightly taller, and when the lights go down, the RGB makes the whole setup feel like a mini desk‑party.

Customer Review: Nice, clean and affordable combo. Great for a quick upgrade/refresh. The font on the keys is a little unique (think “Spider Man” or “PS3” font) – you can zoom in on the KB before you buy and see if that’s an issue for you. These have good lighting and swift responses, and the keyboard hits a sweet spot between size and functionality. I can no longer go without a volume control knob on my KB, and this one is sweet (scroll for vol up/down, press for mute). Nice value for the money.

  • RGB effects are not as vibrant as some competitors

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: very nice works perfectly and looks amazing. love the clicking sound and you can change the colors too.

Customer Review: I will preface this with I don’t use the mouse, as I have a 12 side button mmo mouse, so I cannot speak on that. That said, here’s my review on the keyboard: For the 2nd time in as many years, a child of mine (different child each time) had knocked a glass of iced tea on my keyboard and ruined it! I need a new one, fast. I love this keyboard, have been using one since April 2023. The first replacement was in September of that same year, and now June of 2025. My set up is white. So I needed a white one. Could not find the white one! But I did find a black one. ALMOST ordered it, then realized it would have taken like 3-4 weeks to be delivered, so I had to go hunt for something else. Had a few prospects, and stumbled on this set that had overnight delivery. I wasn’t sure if it was exactly the one I was looking for or not, but I did know it was the same company, so decided to give it a try. Next day, it comes early morning, and I immediately unpack it. Lo & behold, it is the same keyboard I’ve been using for years! Yay! I absolutely love the feel of they keys, they’re pretty quiet, they make very minimal noise, unless you’re thumping your keys super hard (like my husband does on his computer, but let’s not talk about that lol) As with the previous 2 keyboards, the space bar is still a little clunky & louder than the keys, but does seem to be a little less so than my previous ones. Number pad is perfect. Functionality is easy, and obvious what each key function does. The lights are perfect. Plug & play, no problems. I hope MageGee never stops making this keyboard.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is my first gaming Mech Keyboard from Redragon, and so far this being my first, this is the best gaming keyboard I have ever owned. Weight is great. No lag when I game. It has the perfect quietness level, not completely silent but if you were in a echo chamber you would barely hear it (a slight exaggeration but you get the point) 9/10 for quietness. The buttons are perfect and feel great. Keyboard size is perfect for me because I’m a bigger person, my hands side by side spread out cover 95-100% of a regular sized keyboard so I like wide keyboards I don’t like the small ones. Looks great for my first gaming mech keyboard, I don’t have another gaming keyboard to compare it to that I own. RGB colors and modes are great, you can download the software to control the colors and modes off the retail website “Redragon shop” not Redragon Zone” site. The software for this keyboard won’t show up on the zone site, it is only on the shop site and called something else. The mouse works perfectly, no lag and I love the RGB colors. The RGB colors for mouse match the keyboard. Again my hands are big so a majority of mice feel small in my hands this one included. It isn’t a small mouse by any means but for me it could be bigger, which would make it more comfortable. Overall the is a Perfect buy for the price a 10/10. You will not be disappointed.

Customer Review: Keyboard quality is pretty good. It is a membrane and not mechanical. Design is fine. Keys are responsive. Mouse is reactive and smooth. Though the software for both of them is clunky and a bit pointless.

  • No advanced software or customization options

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I absolutely loved this gaming combo. The keyboard is incredibly responsive, and the RGB lighting looks amazing, especially when I’m gaming at night. The mouse is super comfortable, precise, and lightweight—perfect for long sessions without hand fatigue. The mouse pad is a great size and allows the mouse to glide smoothly.

Customer Review: I’ve only clocked a few hours with this set and so far I am pleasantly awed! Keyboard: As one who is generally a “keyboard snob;” I love how smooth the keys are for gaming. It feels different than my preferred typewriter-style boards for work and writing, so it’s refreshing to have an effortless experience for rapid clicks in-game. This keyboard also has a few light color options and my goodness do I LOVE. The overall design is clean, crisp, ergonomic, and pleasing to the eyes. I’m also smitten that the cursor keys’ symbols are rockets, instead of traditional arrows. Mouse: The size is splendid for my hands, responds admirably, and of course I’m a sucker for the multi-color oscillating lights. The one thing that would make this mouse perfect would be back and forth side buttons, but I’m not about to complain. Headset: As long as I remember to take out dangly earrings this headset is comfortable and easy to wear. The mic feels a bit close to the face, but I can be heard clearly in-game, so the design works for its function. I’m impressed by the sound and must have missed the description about ‘deep bass,’ as I was not expecting to hear and feel the drop in my bones! Overall, this [set] exceeded my expectations for the price and recommend for anyone wanting/needing a good accessory-array on a budget.

When choosing a combo, prioritize your primary use case. Wired vs. Wireless is the first decision: wired offers zero latency and no batteries, while wireless provides a cleaner desk. Next, examine the keyboard switch type. “Mechanical feel” membrane keys are quieter and cheaper, while true mechanical switches offer distinct tactile or linear feedback. The mouse DPI (dots per inch) determines sensitivity; 800-3200 is fine for most, but competitive FPS players may want 5000+. Anti-ghosting (N-key rollover) ensures multiple key presses register correctly, crucial for complex in-game combos. Finally, RGB customization ranges from preset modes to full software control—choose based on how much you want to tweak.

Budget Planning

Expect to spend $30-$50 for a solid budget wired combo with basic RGB. Step up to $50-$80 for wireless rechargeable sets with better mice and more lighting options. $80+ gets you premium builds, advanced software, high-DPI sensors, and sometimes extras like wrist rests or bundled headsets. Remember, a higher price doesn’t always mean better for your needs. A $40 wired set can outperform a $70 wireless one for pure gaming if latency is your top concern. Always match features to your actual play style.

Final Thoughts

The best gaming keyboard and mouse combo is the one that fits your specific needs without overcomplicating things. For most, a reliable wired set like the Redragon S101-3 PRO offers the best value. If you hate cables, the RedThunder K10 Pro is a fantastic wireless entry point. Don’t overlook comfort—try to gauge key travel and mouse shape from reviews. And always check the return policy and warranty terms before buying, as these peripherals can sometimes have DOA issues or quality control quirks. Your perfect match is out there, and this list covers the top contenders across every budget and preference.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should I choose a wired or wireless gaming keyboard and mouse combo?

A: Choose wired for absolute zero latency, no battery charging, and typically lower cost—ideal for competitive esports. Choose wireless for a cleaner desk setup and freedom of movement, accepting a tiny (often imperceptible) latency and the need to manage batteries. Modern 2.4G wireless tech has largely closed the gap, making wireless viable for most gamers.

Q: What is anti-ghosting and why do I need it?

A: Anti-ghosting (or N-key rollover) ensures that when you press multiple keys at once (like moving forward, strafing, and jumping), all inputs register correctly. Without it, some keystrokes might be “ghosted” or ignored, which can be fatal in games. Look for “26-key” or higher anti-ghosting for reliable combo execution.

Q: Is a high DPI mouse always better for gaming?

Higher DPI (e.g., 10000+) allows for faster cursor movement at low sensitivity settings, preferred by some FPS players. However, the sensor accuracy and tracking consistency are more important than the max DPI number. A precise 3200 DPI sensor is often better than a jittery 10000 DPI one. Choose a mouse with an adjustable DPI that feels natural to you.

Q: Do I need software to use these combos?

A: Most basic functions (RGB modes, DPI switching) work out-of-the-box via key presses. Software is only needed for advanced customization like creating macros, fine-tuning RGB effects, or adjusting mouse lift-off distance. If you just want plug-and-play, you can often ignore the software entirely.

Q: What’s the difference between mechanical and membrane keyboards?

A: Mechanical keyboards use individual spring-loaded switches under each key, offering distinct tactile or linear feedback, durability (50M+ clicks), and often louder operation. Membrane keyboards use a rubber dome sheet; they are quieter, cheaper, and feel mushier. “Mechanical feel” membranes mimic the key travel but not the actuation. For gaming, both can work, but mechanics are generally preferred for their responsiveness and longevity.
