Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This is the second one I bought. While assembling the base and vertical tube the threaded plate in the vertical tube 2 welds broke. Basic Chinese crap. As an American I got my mig welder out and added more welds. Then finished assembling it. I wish Americans would build the whole thing. It works well, but you might get the Chinese curse and have to return.
Customer Review: Good stable product, good price but im unhappy my left monitor, had screen or ribbon tape damage after careful assemblage.
2. ARES WING Dual Monitor Arm for 17-49 Inch Curved Ultrawide, Heavy-Duty Gas Spring Adjustable with USB, Stacking
This is the heavy-duty solution for users with large, ultrawide, or curved monitors. The ARES WING arm boasts an impressive weight capacity and a gas spring system that makes adjusting even heavy 49-inch displays feel effortless. Its stacking capability is a game-changer for users who want one monitor above the other, saving horizontal desk space.

- ✓ Stacking design allows vertical monitor arrangement
- ✓ Includes built-in USB hub and cable management
Why We Recommend It
We recommend the ARES WING because it solves the two biggest problems with dual monitor arms: holding heavy/curved screens and providing effortless adjustability. The gas spring is superior to mechanical tension arms, and the stacking feature opens up layouts that standard side-by-side arms can’t achieve.
Best For
Users with expensive, heavy ultrawide monitors (like 49″ Samsung Odyssey), developers who prefer stacked screens, and anyone tired of stiff, difficult-to-adjust monitor arms.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Incredibly sturdy and stable, even with large monitors
- Gas spring provides buttery-smooth height and tilt adjustments
- Unique stacking capability for vertical dual setups
- Excellent cable management and added USB ports
Cons:
- Clamp installation requires a solid desk edge; grommet mount needs a hole
- To relocate the arm on your desk, you often need to fully remove it
- Some aesthetic details (like chrome set screws) could be more refined
Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This new dual monitor has been a awesome upgrade to my workspace. It’s taken my two Lenovo 45″ monitors and stacked them with unlimited adjustment options like tilt and extending forward. The build quality is very solid and sturdy, holding both monitors securely without any wobble, even when adjusting the height or angle. Installation was pretty easy to follow and took about 30 minutes to put together. The additions of the cable-management system and built-in USB extension in the base is a nice touch.Overall, it’s a well-designed, reliable stand that significantly improves comfort, productivity, and desk space. I would recommend this to others.
Customer Review: I ordered a bunch of arms to set my Apple Displays up how I wanted them. I’m a graphics professional and these monitors are basically my main tools for work year in and year out, so I care a LOT how they are set up and where they are set up and ultimately what’s holding them. I was tired of stands on my desk so I wanted to run some arms.I tried HumanScale, Ergotron, Knoll, etc – I set them all up and, for me, (quite surprisingly) these relatively cheap arms were the winners. I’m pretty snobish about my gear and I wish the more bougie brands were the winner, but I can’t deny how grea these are. They were the most solid / no wobble vs the other options. They also look the best vs the others. No branding, subtle smiley face adjustment indicators, white VESA covers and a small but safe base. Ergotron had an ugly VESA plate and ugly clamp, HS arms were kind of bulky and too terminator-metallic (and sheesh the price). These are the cleanest looking, most solid arms out of the many that I tried. They do, in fact, tilt forward. You apply a light amount of pressure and then tighten them forward, works great. My top Studio Display is tilted forward. The cord management on these arms also SMOKED the $415 Ergotron options, way cleaner. My only semi-gripe (and someone else posted it about this arm) is that you *do* have to take the whole thing down to move it around on your desk. I see this as kind of a non-issue long term through because once my monitors are up its usually a LONG time before they need to be moved (rearranging my office or moving or something, I usually don’t just move the arm around all the time. Also if you are doing it via grommet that’s how it’s going to work out anyway). It’s a small pain in the beginning when you are setting up. Lastly, the set screws on the arms are chrome and if they were white, that’d be a nice touch to blend them into the arms better. Super small nit pick though. I’d buy these again any day.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I didn’t realize how much I needed a laptop screen extender until I started using the CIDETTY 14″ setup. It completely changed the way I work. Having the extra screen space makes multitasking feel effortless—no more constantly switching tabs or windows. The displays are crisp and bright, with clear text and vibrant visuals that work equally well for spreadsheets, emails, video calls, and even streaming content. Setup was refreshingly simple: plug it in, follow the instructions, and it was up and running within minutes. No complicated software or tech headaches.I was also impressed with the overall build quality. The screens feel solid and well-made, and everything you need comes neatly packaged, including cables and a carrying case. While it has a bit of weight to it, it feels sturdy and reliable—more like a serious productivity tool than a flimsy accessory.Whether you work from home, occasionally travel, or just want to boost efficiency without investing in a full desk setup, this screen extender delivers excellent value for the price. If you’re on the fence, this is one of those purchases you’ll be glad you made once you start using it. Highly recommend!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I was extremely nervous about setting this up for a couple different reasons. One, my desk has a decent amount of weight already on the back end, so I was concerned the extra weight of my monitors and the stand might overdo it and cause issues. However this was not an issue. I did have to do some slight modifications to get it set up to my desk, but they were pretty specific to the desk i was using, as it had a cable management tray on the back side underneath and a not very well attached back piece that made mounting this unstable. After removing those two thing, it fit nicely.Setup was about as good as i could expect reasonably for something like this. Instructions were very clear, everyuthing very well labeled, and anything i might need included(other than a drill if you are looking to not use the clamp., that being said its nice they included the option for either mounting system)Sturdy?? Oh as hell. This thing is holding a decently heavy 28″ as well as my other lighter 27″ no problem. My old mount struggled to hold the weight of my 28″ but this one handles it like an absolute champ!!! And it still has such amazing range of motion withjout creating any issues whatsoever. Part of me was hoping I may be able get my moniotrs vertically aligned but sadly not really an option. Not really at fault of the product as it was not intended and I just hoped it would work lol, so cant knock off points for that.Incredible product, im super ecstastic to have. My old mount took up so much desk space and im so happy to not only have reclaimed it but also made quick adjustments so much easier for me. Perfect for moving it around based on what im doing or playing. Couldnt be happier!!
Customer Review: Trust me when I say these are ROCK SOLID, tough and well built. I’ve bought plenty of stands, mounts and fabricated metal that didn’t work out so well. This mount NAILED IT.Pros:1) They are extremely durable and manufactured with high grade aluminum.2) One of the videos on this site shows a quick demonstration of putting them together but weread the directions anyways3) It has built in wire management (that I didn’t use) that will help you conceal wires4) Comes with (2) USB (A to B) cords if your monitors support that (mine do)5) Fairly easy to put together and NOTHING is loose fitting6) Screws and hardware are well manufactured and not cheaply made7) Will support up to a 35″ monitor (mine is 34″ widescreen)Cons:1) The Vesa mount adapter (part# 07) that connects to the upper arm (part# 06) is EXTREMELYtight. You will have to muscle that in (carefully) but it will snap into place. It really takes somedoing. If I had to rate this mount on a scale from 1-10 (ten being best) I’d give it a 9.5. The mount is extremely well made, has all kind of angles that can be obtained, easy height adjustment via a screw, and is very supportive of my MSI-GSYNC 4k Monitors. If you need a dual monitor stand that supports up to 26lbs then get this one. I’ve seen a lot of monitor stands that are rated for weights just under 20lbs and this is one of the only ones that I could find that are rated over 20 and up to 26lbs.This mount is a little more expensive then most of the dual mounts but the difference is this mount holds a few more extra pounds and is extremely durable and well made.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I did a lot of research looking at soooo many of these portable monitors before deciding on this VisionOwl model, and I am ridiculously pleased with my decision. It was so easy to set up and connect to my Nintendo Switch via a portable switch dock I already had. Simply plug and play and it instantly loaded up. It’s super crisp in game and almost as much so while browsing. I have my saturation and contrast turned up a little bit so if the vivid rich colors aren’t your thing, there are easy adjustments to be made using the side wheel button, which also double functions to adjust brightness and volume, depending on if you scroll it up, down, or press it as a button. Pressing it opens the main menu, where you can adjust more complex details of the visual display to your preferences.I notice exactly zero lag or issues running any game on my Nintendo Switch that I want. I also plan to use this monitor with my iphone connected as a way to watch streams and/or videos while I play games on my PC, since I previously lacked a second monitor/run an ultrawide for my PC. I have no doubt it will perform perfectly for that as well. The visual quality is astounding for this affordable price point. The monitor maintains its place propped up on the included magnetic case/stand combo perfectly.I emailed to register my warranty with the included QR code packaged with the product, and was also offered a free accessory, which they quickly responded about and are actually sending to me! Now that’s customer service! The sticker on the bottom left of the monitor gives their information in case you need to contact for any reason for any level of support. The included packaging pieces also mentioned this. All of this tells me they stand by this product immensely and I am over the moon with it so far. It’s EXACTLY what I wanted/needed, small enough to fit in my limited leftover desk space while large enough to be properly useful for gaming and media consumption.I cannot recommend this enough and sincerely hope that if you’re in the market for a solid, reliable monitor, either for home use or on the go, be it for gaming or media consumption of any kind, you’ll consider this VisionOwl product as a top tier choice, if not number one. It’s that good, and I’m picky about my gaming experiences and media consumption experiences, as I spend a LOT of time at my desk and a LOT of time gaming. In a sea of options, choose this. It’s absolutely wonderful in every single way, and so is the company behind it from what I can tell.
Customer Review: Very good for the price! The image is super crisp and clear, with vibrant colors and sharp detail. Setup was quick and easy, and it works perfectly as a second screen for my laptop. Lightweight and easy to carry around. Definitely worth the money.
7. InnoView 23.8 Dual Portable Monitor
The InnoView offers a larger screen size at 23.8 inches, which is a significant jump from the typical 14-15.6″ portable monitors. It’s a dual-screen unit where the two panels hinge together, allowing for a massive combined workspace that can fold flat for transport. The 100% sRGB color gamut and 100Hz refresh rate are impressive specs for a portable, making it suitable for both work and casual gaming.

The flexible hinges allow for various viewing angles, from a shallow V-shape to almost flat.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Bought this for a dual-monitor setup to improve productivity and gaming experience. What I like • The 100Hz refresh rate provides smooth motion, great for gaming and video editing. • 100% sRGB color coverage delivers vibrant and accurate colors. • The dual monitor stand is convenient for seamless multi-screen use. What could be better • The monitor stand could be more adjustable for better ergonomic positioning. • The resolution could be higher for users who require sharper detail. • Some users may find the screen size a bit small for extensive multitasking.Bottom line: A solid monitor with great color accuracy and smooth refresh rates, but might not be ideal for users needing higher resolution or larger screens. Perfect for casual gamers and those seeking accurate colors, but consider larger, higher-res options if you need more detail.
Customer Review: Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love the two screens with one connection aspect of this item. Also, the clarity of the screen images while there is a matte finish is really critical to the work I do and how I use these screens! I find the build quality exceptional and set up was so easy.

9. MNN 15.6-Inch 1080P, USB-C HDMI IPS, HDR Plug&Play, Smart Cover and Speakers for Laptop PC Phone Mac
The MNN is a supremely practical and popular single portable monitor. While not a dual-unit, it’s included here because two of these can be used together for a dual monitor laptop setup (one on each side) or as a secondary display for a desktop. Customer Reviews
Customer Review: The MNN 15.6” FHD portable monitor worked great as a second display for the HDMI method. Setup was simple and connected without any issues. The 1080P resolution looks sharp, and you can easily adjust the brightness to fit your environment. It even comes with built-in speakers, which is a nice bonus, though the audio quality is mid and not something I’d rely on long term. Overall, slim, lightweight, and a solid option if you need a reliable secondary monitor.
Customer Review: I was losing my mind trying to work from home off a single laptop screen. Secondary displays were not connecting to my computer outside of the office, IT could not figure out the issue so I was doomed to single screen anytime I worked from home. A co-worker suggested I take a look at this style of screen. I had my doubts that it would work with my lap top, and lo and behold I am back in action with a dual display. It comes with an HDMI cord option and a USB-C cord option (you do not need to buy separate cords, they are included). I used the USB-C as it also acts as a power cord to power the display. It took two seconds to hook up, and with one setting change on my lap top the display successfully extended (does not just duplicate your display, it will allow display extension as well). The image quality is more than sufficient for work (no opinion on PC gaming) and settings such as brightness were easy to adjust. It’s the perfect size for use with my lap top screen, and they had plenty of additional size options. The built in stand allows two screen angles, and acts as a cover when not in use. For the price this thing is absolutely clutch, don’t waste money on expensive displays – you can use this with any USB-C capable device so it can travel with you for work or fun. I will be interested to see if it has longevity, but for now I’d give this thing 10 stars if I could.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This laptop screen works perfectly for us. We did not have any compatibility issues and it connected right away. It’s not too heavy and it’s great for office work or traveling. We do a lot of worksheets comparison so having multiple screens to be able to compare them side-by-side is extremely helpful. The set up was really easy and physically connected really easy we were able to change the setting to extend or mirror as needed the picture and color are very bright and vibrant and clear we were able to get audio on the extended screen as well. Great resolution.
Customer Review: I have always had extra monitors for my remote and office jobs to prevent constantly needing to switch between different tabs but the problem is that it always took up way too much desk space. I was excited to come across this screen extender for my work laptop that seemed like a good solution for this so that I am able to maintain maximum efficiency with dual monitors. It’s easy and quick to set up with the just USB-C connection and provides me with much more room for other essential desk items. Both screens feature a nicely sized 14″ display that has great quality at 1080P. There is a nice safety feature that helps securely keep the screen extender attached to the laptop due to the reinforced top hook. I was worried about these slipping out of place while in use but this definitely eased my concerns as I haven’t had any issues with this. There is also a back stand included for added stability and changing angles if necessary. I am also satisfied with the wide range of compatibility for different types of laptops as I tend to switch often from Mac to Windows.
Complete Buying Guide for Best Monitor for Dual Monitors
Essential Factors We Consider
Choosing the right dual monitor solution hinges on your specific situation. First, decide between a traditional dual monitor arm with two separate screens versus a portable laptop screen extender. Traditional setups offer larger, often higher-quality screens and are permanent desk solutions. Portable extenders are for laptop users who need mobility.
For traditional monitors, key specs are resolution (1080p minimum, 1440p recommended), refresh rate (60Hz for work, 75Hz+ for smoothness), panel type (IPS for best colors/viewing angles), and VESA mount compatibility. For the arm, check weight capacity (especially for ultrawides), adjustability (tilt, swivel, rotation), and desk mounting type (clamp vs. grommet).
For portable extenders, prioritize screen size (14″ vs. 15.6″ vs. larger), color gamut (100% sRGB is good, >100% is great), connectivity (dual USB-C is ideal), and attachment mechanism (clip-on, magnetic, or standalone). Ensure your laptop’s USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) and power delivery (PD) if the extender needs power.
Budget Planning
Budget Tier ($100-$300): You can get a solid basic dual monitor arm for two 24-27″ screens or a single 15.6″ portable monitor. Expect functional but not premium build quality. Complete kits like the KS Doublesight (#1) fall here.
Mid-Range ($300-$600): This is the sweet spot. You can buy two good 27″ 1440p monitors and a robust arm like the HUANUO (#5), or a high-quality dual-screen portable extender like the VisionOwl (#6). Build quality, adjustability, and color accuracy see a significant jump.
Premium ($600+): For professionals, this means high-end ultrawide monitors (49″ OLED) paired with a top-tier gas spring arm like the ARES WING (#2), or a premium triple-screen extender. Expect exceptional stability, materials, and color performance.
Final Thoughts
The “best” dual monitor setup is the one that seamlessly integrates into your specific workflow and physical space. For a permanent desktop, investing in a sturdy arm and two matched, high-quality monitors is the gold standard. For the mobile professional, the innovation of clip-on portable extenders is nothing short of revolutionary, turning any coffee shop table into a command center. Consider your primary use case, measure your desk, check your laptop’s ports, and set a realistic budget. The products on this list cover the full spectrum, ensuring there’s a perfect solution for every need and price point.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use any monitor with a dual monitor arm?
A: Mostly, yes. The key is VESA mount compatibility. Almost all modern monitors have a standardized set of four threaded holes on the back (75x75mm or 100x100mm). Check your monitor’s specs or manual to confirm it has a VESA mount. The arm’s weight capacity is the other critical factor—never exceed it.
Q: Do portable laptop screen extenders work with all laptops?
A: They work with most modern laptops that have a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery support. Many also include an HDMI option for older laptops. Always check the extender’s compatibility list. They typically fit laptops from 13 to 17 inches. Very thick or uniquely designed laptop lids may not attach securely.
Q: Will a dual monitor arm damage my desk?
A: Not if installed correctly. Clamp mounts apply pressure to the desk edge and are safe for most solid desks. Grommet mounts require a hole in the desk and are even more secure. Use a protective pad between the clamp and your desk to prevent scratches. Ensure your desk is structurally sound and not made of particleboard that could crack under pressure.
Q: Is a dual monitor setup worth it for gaming?
A: For competitive gaming, a single, high-refresh-rate (144Hz, 240Hz) monitor is usually better to maximize frame rates and focus. However, for immersive single-player games, streaming, or sim racing, a dual-monitor setup (or an ultrawide) can be fantastic for peripheral vision and multitasking (game on one screen, Discord/stream chat on the other).
Q: How much desk space do I need for a dual monitor arm?
A: A dual monitor arm itself takes up very little desk space—usually just the footprint of the base (often under 8×8 inches). The monitors are mounted on arms that extend forward. You need enough clearance behind your monitors for the arms to articulate and enough desk depth (at least 24 inches is comfortable) to prevent the monitors from hitting the back wall when adjusted.
Ultimately, upgrading to a dual monitor setup is one of the most cost-effective ways to supercharge your productivity and enjoyment at the computer. Whether you choose a rock-solid traditional arm like the ARES WING or a revolutionary portable solution like the VisionOwl, you’re investing in a more organized, efficient, and enjoyable workspace. Don’t overthink it—pick the option that best matches your primary device, your desk situation, and your budget from our tested list. You’ll wonder how you ever worked with just one screen.
